In Australia, a warning has been given to the public, as quoted by the Sydney Morning Herald. United States Bureau of investigation, the FBI, to intervene to overcome malicious program that is considered dangerous.

To find out if your computer is infected with DNS Changer, the FBI provides online tools. The following steps:

A. Visit http://www.dcwg.org.

DCWG DNS Changer is a continuation of the Working Group, a site built security experts to monitor the virus DNS Changer.

2. Click the green “Detect” in the upper left corner.

3. You will be redirected to the new page as shown below. Click the link http://www.dns-ok.us/ in a position that has been Kompas Tekno circled in red.

4. If your computer is not infected, the monitor will pop up a large green logo with the message: “DNS Resolution = GREEN”. So, you do not have to do anything.

5. However, if that appears on your monitor is a red logo, it seems that your computer is infected with DNS Changer.

Please take immediate steps to follow instructions and install a free antivirus software on this link to eradicate the evil DNS Changer program.

What is a DNS Changer?

On 8 November 2011, FBI and police managed to capture some of the Estonia cyber criminals of a company from Estonia, Rove Digital.

Digital Rove DNS Changer viruses spread by various means, ranging from visiting certain sites, or click on online advertising, which it has inserted a DNS Changer.

What will the DNS Changer?

DNS Changer that attack Windows and Mac operating systems change the configuration of Domain Name Server (DNS) on the victim’s computer, and silently mengerahkannya to fake DNS server’s Digital Rove.

Digital Rove could steal the victim, perhaps a credit card or other important documents, for material gain.

Currently there are millions of infected computers DNS Changer and still connect to the DNS fake.

The FBI has seized fake DNS server Rove Digital, and is still secure.

Since this is a fake DNS server is full of acts of abuse, law enforcement United States ordered the FBI to shut down the fake DNS server’s Digital Rove on July 9, 2012. And, consequently, the victims of DNS Changer will have difficulty accessing the internet.

Without DNS, Internet users can not access a site by typing the address of its website, eg google.com, facebook.com, and wordpress.com.

To access without DNS, the user must enter your Internet Protocol (IP) of these sites.

The problem is, not all internet users know the IP address a number of these sites. This would make a person difficult to access the internet, or think that the internet network is disconnected.
