There are so many reasons why this site is so addictive, here is why…

When I signed up with Triond in September 2007, I would never have thought I would still be writing and posting content on this site. Triond has many great features and that’s why it’s hard not to log on every day. This is why…

  1. Viewing your stats, views and graphs. Being able to track your articles in the dashboard section keeps you logging on everyday. This feature shows all your daily page views, graphs showing your views from the last 3- days and even where your page views are coming from (Facebook, Triond, Google etc)
  2. Writers Forums. The opportunity to communicate with other writers through the writers forums keeps you interested. You can discuss new subjects, enter writing compettions, get writing tips and discuss your writing with fellow Triond members. Members post hundreds of new threads everyday. Logging into the forums keeps you informed everyday with what’s going on within Triond.
  3. Communicating with Writers through your dashboard. Your dashboard has the feature of messaging fellow friends which you add during your time with Triond. You can discuss your writing style and article ideas privately with Triond members. Other members can tell you how good your writing is or even where it is going wrong. It is a very helpful feature.
  4. Receiving Comments. Slightly different to the messaging feature, these comments are posted at the bottom of your article. Sometimes they are good, other times they are bad, comments are always helful to your writing. Recieving comments gives you the feedback to help you write your next article and hopefully the one that makes the Hot Content list.
  5.  Enhancing Your Portfolio. By posting as much and as often as you can, it can enhance and make your writing portfolio look even smarter. Everyday i log in I’m always tempted to write and sumbit something new to add to my list of articles.
  6. Striving To Earn More. I love earning money through this site. Sometimes it seems minimal but wanting to earn that little bit more is always a goal of mine. Every new article i submit, it gives me a new option to earn more.
  7.  Marketing Your Content. Promoting your content is fun. You can do it by posting your articles on sites such as Facebook, Google, Digg, Stumbleupon, Ask and Twitter etc. By getting your content out there, it is always a good feeling when seeing your daily views from these sites how well your promoting and marketing is making a difference to your page views.
  8. Reading other writers content. On your dashboard, a good list of your friends recent articles published appear on the right hand site, The content on this site is getting better and better, especially some the articles wriiten on Webupon and Writinghood etc. By reading fellow writers content it can also spark new ideas for possible future articles and gives you the opportunity to comment on them.
  9.  User Friendly, Interface. It’s easy to log into, and everything is there on your dashboard you possibly need. Your daily page views, graphs, earnings, visit trends and even possible article suggestions. Since Triond has introduced all these new features, it has helped writers like myself and made things more interesting on this website.
  10. - To Make Hot Content. Every writer on this site strives to make the Hot Content list. I am definitly one of them, and my future goal is write as much as I can and produce better quality articles. This article probably won’t be the one but as I am learning and gaining more writing experience within this site, hopefully it will be sometime soon! These are the reasons why I keep submitting content to this site.

So true! Triond is an addiction. I would much rather be addicted to Triond, however, than to something like online gaming or other (darker) internet trends! :-)

A written and informative piece. I am a fellow Triond addict. I’ve been writing for Triond since Feb 08, but I don’t think our paths have crossed.

I love RJ’s reasoning. I’ll havve to use that the next time my husband complains about my Triond addiction.

  7. Karen Gross Says:

That first sentence should have read: “A well-written piece”. And I call myselft a writer!
