Let’s imagine you manage to get the entire world web in one single website. How much will that take in physical space?
Today we have the auto content generator tools that can generate billions of pages per day and this sometimes ranks very high in all search engines.
But what you really want to know is how big one website can really be? How many rooms will that website take?
One normal hard disk today can have as much as 1 TB or even 2 TB if you spend some more money with it. This means you can have one HUGE website in just one single hard drive. However I imagine the website would be too slow because the server could not handle so much traffic.
Google claims they have already indexed one Trillion unique pages. They always skip duplicated content pages and they also never index sites like calendars where a php script will always generate a new page forever.
I searched that the averaze size of a webpage is about 500 KB. This means that you will need to add 500 KB a trillion times over.

This 500 KB number is really going up really fast!
If you do the math you get something like 500.000 TB of data. This is the entire known web of course. Sites with passwords do not count. Sites with databases do no count because that data is not in a public page.

Even so, if you but a normal hard disk today with 1 TB you still need to get 500K hard disk! Each one costs about 100$ so you need to spend about 50$ dollars. This is nothing for Google but sure it’s a little a LOT for you and most of us. The conclusion is that you will never have the entire know world on your hard drive or at least in your house.
Now how big can you make one website? You can make one website as big as about one million pages a day. This is very easy to do. If you want to crank up the internet and use automated tools to make sites like crazy I have some tips for you.
Keep in mind that if you do not use a software or a script to change the content, you will not be indexed by Google or any other search engine so most of the fun will be ruined!
Even so here is the deal: First you need a site or blog that can be d by Email. Blogger is free and allows that, but has some limits. You should go for Wordpress and host it on your own server to have all the tools and features available..
Next thing to do is to set an email to address to publish to your blog. I really recommend nothing but Gmail. It has very little limitations.
Now you just need to sign up for some Google alerts and redirect the alerts to the blog. The more alerts you sign up, the more emails you will get and the more posts you will do. Another good site is the RSS to Email. It can subscribe you to a lot of sites and when they update themselves you get the email and presto your blog gets another post. You can also browse email newsletters lists to mass subscribe them. Needless to say that email address of yours will not be available for any serious work.
You should really consider unlimited hosting.
