There comes a time when the you have to face your worst fear. The inability to say what you know you have to say, when time is running short really fast and you know for sure the answer is only online, that is when you turn to Facebook. Does this really help you get to the point or it scares the hell out of you even more?

Sometimes life online can be so hard. For example, there is a very common incident where you come across someone in real life and you so badly want to keep the conversation going. The first day goes on well, but a few days down the line it seems like nothing seems to be going as planned. So what do you do? You turn to online conversations. Really?

So this is what goes one between you and your computer.

Step 1. You log in to Facebook, head straight for Find Friends, scroll all the way down past the Find people you email and the suggestions and land on the mighty Facebook section of Search for People. You type the full name of the culprit and hope to get the first person suggested as your culprit. Thanks to Facebook this things do happen.

Meanwhile the voices inside of you are encouraging, suggesting, rebuking and facing you at the same time.

Step 2: Start fidgeting when you find that your culprit is actually on Facebook, but the profile is private such that if you really have to say anything to the culprit, you just have to click on Add as Friend. Worse still, Facebook gives you an option to Send a message and a better one to View the friends of your culprit. You are either too shy to do this or better still very jealous because you are afraid that your next door neighbour is a friend of your culprit. It is supposed to be a secret remember. So you say a little prayer here and …..

Step 3: It is getting really tight here and you have to take a step. So you pretend not to care and you are cursing Facebook Well, you decide to first find out who will know about the whole ordeal just incase you send a message to the culprit. You gather your courage and click on View Friends hoping and praying that you will not meet familiar faces. But to your surprise, no one you know! Thanks Facebook, you are home at last. Don’t clap yet, your culprit has other real friends who actually know you and the possibility of sharing a common story, “Guess who invited me to be a friend on Facebook?” might just flood the whole mall on Monday morning. You surely don’t want that so you…..

Step 4: Now you are sweating profusely, but you have to do something because the computer you are using is shared between seven other members of your household. Time is running short! So you gather your courage and face the Facebook and to your surprise..

You realize you do not have the guts to take the bull by the horns. You push the logout button and turn off your computer. Straight to bed you go. You just can’t handle it.

You are not alone. Tomorrow is another day.
