Sometimes accumulating income as a writer online is a pretty slow process. You may well have written hundreds of articles before ever ranking in decent enough income to quit your day job. Don’t get me wrong, writing will eventually pay off, especially if you are persistent enough to stick to your guns. But lets face the music, what are the odds in this. Henceforth, people are not on Facebook or Twitter to read anything that’s longer than what’s on their wall and Twitter is limited to only 140 characters. Although 140 characters are more than enough to post a link or URL, it’s not really going to interest your followers unless it serves a purpose for them.
Article marketing is one of the best ways to promote anything that’s on the internet. Websites owners use it to raise SEO ranking and affiliates use it to market products. I know you think that I’m going to say why not use article marketing to market and promote your articles? No, I’m not going to say this, even though it is a great idea and I’m pretty sure most writers are already doing this. My tip is to use forums to promote your articles.
Use direct marketing in related forums to promote your articles. For example: if you’ve written an article on “How to Build a House” then your obvious forums to post a link to that article would be carpentry forums, woodworking, arts and crafts or maybe even home décor forum. This will get your article directly to people who are interested in what you have written as opposed to posting links elsewhere in hopes of getting them read or someone becoming interested. Directly posting to article related forums will get your articles read without a doubt. These are people who are into what you are writing about and will get you tons of traffic. If you write for Triond or any site where you could earn revenue through Google, this will do wonders for your income as well as for other sites.
