For avid, passionate mobile phone geeks and enthusiast; here are six useful sites to update you with all the latest wireless innovations, news and reviews.
- Engadget
Engadget Mobile is probably one of the most updated site not just for mobile phone updates but to almost all gadgets ranging from the latest pc’s, laptops, gaming consoles up to any thing high-tech. What makes this useful is that its mobile phone updates is not just based in the U.S or to other American territories but throughout Europe and Asia as well. There are lots of interesting articles posted daily which is two thumbs up for high tech junkies out there. Engadget is definitely a go-to-site if you want the latest phone updates and reviews worldwide. - Phone Arena
I think Phone Arena has a little edge over Engadget when it comes to updates, news, reviews and information because it has a mobile comparison tool. And since it focuses only about mobile phone technologies and no other, it provides full features and specifications of each mobile phone available in the market worldwide. Its mobile comparison tool is one of the best out there because it provides thorough information from basic, intermediate to advance comparison of mobile phones. It allows up to 8 mobile phone comparisons from more than 50 phone manufacturers and thousands of phone models. There are lots of useful articles at Phone Arena which has detailed information of a particular phone model and their full review. What makes the site unique is their Size compare visualization tool which tells the size difference of one phone from the other. Another is their Phone filter which helps you in finding a phone of your choice of manufacturer, design style, display size, talk time, standby time and features. Last but not the least is what they call HIGH PAppeal which rates each phone from 0 to 10 on to how it is capable to suit one’s lifestyle having categories of Christian Dior, Average Joe, Corporate US and High-tech junkie. - GSM Arena
This is probably one of the oldest mobile phone news and reviews site over the internet. Though their news section isn’t updated daily, the site still is reliable with its good reviews and easy to read phone specifications and features. One can rate any phone through voting from 1 to 10 basing from design, features and performance. Similar to Phone Arena’s filter tool, GSM Arena offers what they call “Phone finder” to find a particular phone to suit one’s preferences and likes. Form factor, network, operating system or whatever. The phone finder will do the finding for you better than any other mobile phone sites in my opinion. You can also compare mobile phones from one to the other but just 2 phones at a time. - Phone Scoop
Phone Scoop has been around since 2001 and is helpful with its daily news and updates. Its phone updates and articles are based and focused in the U.S Market only. Similar to GSM Arena, it has its Phone filter with its powerful search and compare tool for mobile phones. One unique feature of the site is its “Glossary” which is a dictionary that is mobile-phone dedicated. The Glossary provides meanings of mobile phone terms such as 2G, 3G, d-paid, android, etc. The U.S mobile junkies should be very well updated with the help of Phone Scoop. - Esato
Esato has been one of the popular mobile phone sites over the internet before but now is a lot different. The site doesn’t post articles daily and it’s been awhile since they did. Hopefully they’ll be posting soon because either way, their posts and news helps. What make this site unique is the Esato mobile service wherein we can use our mobile phones to log on to Esato and download several free themes and wallpapers for no charge at all. - Mobiledia
An independent mobile phone reviews site, it has just about 20 phone manufacturers that they discuss about so don’t expect too much from it. They have reliable and up to date phone news, articles and reviews though but not daily. What makes the site unique is its “Personality Quiz” on Facebook wherein they ask a few questions about mobile phones, we answer them and they’ll recommend a particular phone model for us basing on our answers. Cool!
