Here’s my story.
It was a long dark and dreary day. I was rummaging about through my computer and finally decided to get some anti spy ware programs from the Internet. There were two I trusted more than anything. These were Spybot: Search and Destroy which is a reliable anti-spyware program, and AVG 8.5 free trial. Of course I never have these for very long because I end up finding viruses on my computer. I usually end up reinstalling the Operating System because once you have a virus, you can never trust that computer again. So I installed these two crucial components. I started running Spybot because it finished installing first and lo and behold, spy ware. Of course these were just tracking cookies. I wasn’t too worried. That’s what happens when you visit sites with ads. Ads usually download these cookies into your computer. Runescape is an excellent source of spyware. Well I finished the scan and deleted those cookies. No biggie.
Now after AVG installed (I got the 8.5 version) which said I had a 30 day free trial and I ran the whole computer test. It took nearly a day. It was extremely precise and I when I came back, 3 viruses + spyware that I had gotten from playing runescape after doing the spybot scan. 1 Trojan and two Worms. All from the Pokemon game emulator+games I had downloaded from Thepiratebay.org. The worms were from the Office Enterprise I had downloaded with the free Key gen. I had only downloaded this for a day because I needed to get a 5-7 page project for English done. After I found out it had viruses I completely wiped those programs out of my system. The next step was for me to Reinstall the operating system. One problem. I didn’t know my parent’s password… I immediately began researching on how to find out what the password was and it came up with key loggers (I previously used one before) and a hash cracker. I have not figured out what the password is because I don’t know how many keys they pressed yet. As soon as I find out you know I’ll completely reinstall this OS because it’s untrustworthy right now.
Until then i am offering to crack hashes for free. Please put your hash in the comment section of the site so others can attempt to crack it too. Tell approximately how many numbers there are, if there are symbols, spaces, etc. and I will run it through my computer. My computer does over 7m passwords per seconds so it is fairly slow. Just give me some time and I will get back to you.

So I’m going to guess that it’s either more or less than 6 so I’ll run it through to 8 and check to see if there are any symbols on it.
This may take a couple days but I will message on here when it is complete. I will be gone camping this weekend so it’ll be a perfect time to run it.

Ran a PC from ophcrack. Couldn’t find anything, found the hash from the NT Hash field, so my only guess is, its a NT one. Vista Home Premium
letters and numbers, most likely not in case. Maybe around 8-9 signs, but I honestly don’t know.

Keybl8 I should be asking how old they are. Usually the older you get, the smarter you get in your passwords. The younger you are the lazier you are. So can you give me an idea as to how old they are?

do you have access to an administrator account? If not then you can go to my tutorial “How to get rid of parental controls in vista and xp” It will show you how to enable the built in administrator account. You can then change the passwords from there. The program also allows you to change passwords without booting Vista.

Yeah, I know about all that, I would just boot from an Ubuntu disc or so to access the PC. Unfortunately for me its not the PC I need access to, but something else where he use the same password
– The PC was just to extract the NTLM hash a while back. Tried some online crackers like bitdelivery and plain-text, but these returned nothing.

If the hash is not for accessing the computer, I can’t help you. If you are trying to access an account online with that password you should see if you can get ahold of him. I can only help you with getting into the computer’s account. Sorry.

Oh, ok. I thought you were going to run the hashes through rainbowtables or so to crack the password – its the same other places, that I am sure of, however I am not able to obtain md5s/double md5s of those sites.
If you did run it, which tables did you run through? I’m pretty sure its as already mentioned loweralpha-numeric1-8 but could be mixalpha-numeric up to 8

I have a program called cain and abel that you can download for free. You put in the password you want to crack and then click bruite force attack. It goes through every possible password combination there is.

um wierd I thought it posted what I said, anyways, my computer is under “lockdown”
The fan that cools the CPU while this program is running (Cain and Abel) is extremely noisy and I am not supposed to have internet. My parents would not appreciate it if they found me on the computer.
Anyways, Cain and Abel is a free program and you can crack passwords on it. I have tested it and it works, it just takes a really long time to crack a password.

Ha ha i just recently ran into a small problem. I know for sure that I have a virus on my computer again. I was trying to see if I was being watched from another computer and it downloaded a virus. I am unable to get avg or any other antivirus software and pctools doesn’t cut it.

This is from an AD user account running XP. I was interetsed as it was one of 3 that refused to crack. This was nothing malicious, just doing network install on a standard user account.
I have run xp special tables on it and standard has rainbow tables on it with ophcrack… it shows a 9 but will not crack!

Alright- I have run cain and LCP on this… Nothing at all.
I think it is 10 digits long (guess here)
Cain found the last 3 are UL3 (and added 7 ?’s before it, so that’s why I think 10 digits)
I believe it contain at least 1 symbol and maybe more numbers.
I ran it with abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789
It may have case changes.
I’m generating rainbow tables for this now… to try to find it then…

It is Hotmail password…about 6-maximum 9 characters (low leters and numbers)…that’s all I know…I got that hash from one hack site when i entered specific e-mail address to get password…but pass is encrypted and you must buy decode tool bla, bla, bla. So I would be werry happy and much more if You do this password and email me on update.accountwarning(at)gmail.com
…..P.S. I tried every free md5 database and nothing…only on passcrack.com they cracked it with rainbowtable….but I can not see it
