There are several ways of driving traffic to your website. Each webmaster is using their own techniques to get traffic. 1. Choosing the right domain name: First you need to choose a niche for your blog. It can be health, how to make money, whatever. One of my top niches is make money online, so I chose my domain name as Make Money With VijayArjun.
2. Add meta tags: You can add meta tags relating to your niche so that search engines can index your web pages easily.
3. Content is king: Start creating quality content. There is no substitute for quality. You have to post content regularly. Major Search engines such as Google, Yahoo, MSN and AOL love blogs that have fresh content. Add images and videos to make your blog more attractive.
4. Add lots of content: You need tons of articles to attract huge traffic from search engines. So you have to post as many articles as possible.
5. Submit your blog to important search engines: You should submit your blog to top search engines such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL and Dmoz.
6. Search Engine Optimization: It is shortly known as SEO. This is a big subject. SEO involves a lot of techniques. When you create a blog post, you can give a catchy title to your article. You should use the right key words so that people who search for content related to your article might find your blog. Suppose if you write an article on “how to make money blogging?” you can use key words such as make money blogging, how to make money blogging, make fast money blogging and so on. You can use key word in your title as well.
7. Submit your blog to Twitter:It is important to share your blog with Twitter. It will send you good traffic.
8. Face Book: You should share your blog post with Face Book. It will send you a lot of traffic to your blog.
9. Submitting to social bookmarking sites: You should submit your blog to popular social bookmarking sites such as Digg, Delicious, Reddit, Orkut and Friendster.
10. Stumble Upon: It is very important to submit your blog to Stumble Upon as it can drive huge traffic to your blog.
11. Submit your blog to Technorati: Submitting your blog to Technorati can increase your traffic considerably.

13. Install RSS feeds: Your regular readers will be able to visit your new blog posts as soon as they are published. It can increase your traffic.
14. Ping your blogs: You can ping your blog with sites such as Pingomatic and Google blog search ping service.
15. Build quality back links: Building quality back links to your blog can increase the traffic. Please see that you create back links from relevant and quality blogs.
16. Submit your blog to article directories: You can write articles on popular directories such as Goarticles, Ezine and get traffic from these sites.
17. Commenting on other blogs: You should comment on popular blogs relevant to your niche. It will bring traffic to your blogs.
18. Participating in forums: You can also participate in popular forums and give links to your blogs.
19. Guest blogging: You can create guest blog on popular blogs of your niche. This will increase your traffic to a great extent.
20. Build a email list: You can build a quality e mail list and regularly send mails to them when you publish a new content.
