Snipsly, just like Xomba is another writing and bookmarking website. Here the writers get paid through Google AdSense with 80/20 percent split. That should sound extremely exciting. But is it really worth the time to use this website? Let’s find it out here.
I joined the site around the month of October with the hope to add another revenue website to my Google AdSense account. I simply thought that just like Xomba, it would give me an opportunity to make some extra bucks. Over the next few months, I added three articles and a few bookmarks to see how they performed. It simply went in vain. I actually kept track of the number of visitors through the Google Analytics. For some reason, for days, there were simply no visitors at all. My thought on this was that my webpage was not yet indexed by Google. I simply ended up ignoring it, for I do not quit easily. I kept adding more bookmarks Unfortunately, it still yielded to no positive result. But yes, here and there, I received one or two visitors. In the same way, I received 0 amount of money from the site.
The real problem with Snipsly is that its writers mission is to just write and bookmark pages of their own. They are simply not interested in checking out what others published which I actually did not see at Xomba where writers take time to explore others’ bookmarks and articles. The point to be noted is that Snipsly writers cannot be blamed for it. Take a look the image given above. Once you are done exploring it, see the given Xomba image below.
Xomba is basically featuring its articles in the middle of its homepage. Snipsly does it also. But you really have to scroll to the bottom of its homepage to look at it.
Yes, this is the one. Now Snipsly homepage which is not only too blank, but also longer in size often makes writers forget to do the scrolling job. So all recently published bookmarks and articles stay unseen. Snipsly needs a makeover. It simply is the most important thing they must do.
Now just because I did not receive visitors does not mean all is lost. Apparently, when I checked my Triond and Bukisa article backlinks at Yahoo Explorer I noticed that it showed me the ones I left at Snipsly. So I will say that there is still advantage in using the site.
As for the money making task, I still believe it is possible at Snipsly. But real hard work is neccessary to make it happen.
