Search Engines

Is Google making us smarter or just more information junkies than ever? After all these searches it certainly opened us a whole new world.

Google was not the first search engine but today is one of the best ones, maybe with only Bing ahead.

I just hit 32323 searches on Google this day and what I can say about it?

1. Google made me a lot smarter. I know more things, I am aware of the size of the internet, I am aware that almost everyone uses Google daily, I am aware that Google is SO much more than just a search engine, at least for those that understand what Google really is.

2. Google shows us the world, even if we are in prison, we are free. If you want to go to Japan, guess what, just Google it and you will immediately find more about Japan than most Japanese people know, such as the GDP and other important information.

3. I just made 3232$ for Google. Google earns on average 10 cents per search made.

4. I set a new goal for myself and that goal is to educate myself with 100k Google searches about all the subjects I can some with.

5. A random Google search script will open you to doors you never thought they existed before.

6. Google is the biggest search engine in the world and not even half of the internet is there. Most pages are not indexed because of lack of computing power or because Google thinks they are not relevant because they are not known so they do not have links.

7. Google has many limitations, specially in the search results and the webmaster tools. Be aware of them to improve your search experience.

8. Google can be easily tricked with sites that contain a lot of links such as the adult websites.

9. Google makes money “only” with Adwords.

10. Google is probably the most profitable free products company in the world and on it’s well way to become the most profitable company in the world in about 5 years.

11. Google does not care at all about you. If you email support to post a question somewhere where an editor can see, they will just ignore you. After all, why bother with one user when they have about 500 million users?

12. Google cannot be entirely replaces by any other search engine. Other search engines do not have news search or blog search or web history, making Google the top choice for most.
