Are you struggling with publishing at Triond? Are you interested in making more money, getting more of your articles viewed and having a good passive income source? Many of us have the same goal. I am looking to share my ups and downs including my monthly income from publishing with Triond. I hope that my journey to earning money with Triond will inspire you.
First, my history with Triond is that I joined in May 2008. That first month I published seven articles. The subjects were varied such as divorce, saving money, making money, homemaking and even making coffee. Since that time, I’ve published close to 90 articles. When I first joined Triond, I had no idea how much money I would be able to earn each month, but I was optimistic and hopeful that $1 day would be reasonable. Have I achieved that goal? No, not consistently anyway.
I maintain a blog that tracks my published articles and I also post my monthly earnings from Triond. Yes, you read that correctly. It’s all there for everyone to see. Some months it is pretty low, and then other months it has been high. Some articles get no views at all, then there was the two month period when one article shot up to more than 30,000 views.
It has been a long time since one of my articles got that many hits, but many articles have been work horses for me, consistently keeping up my view numbers month after month. What I am now considering is to do follow up articles on these obviously popular topics. I am also getting better at adding links to stories along with marketing them through technorati and delicious. The other thing that has been somewhat successful lately is to write book reviews of texts I’ve enjoyed and found useful. See the Eker article for an example of this.
Most people will tell you that you have to stick with it. I am. I won’t be giving this up any time soon. I do want to find what works best, what gets me the most hits and what will provide a steady income. I thought at first that it would take 75 articles published to get to $1/day on Triond. I’m now finding out that even 80 articles are not sufficient. When I find that perfect amount, I’ll post that to my blog. Of course, it isn’t merely a numbers game – those articles published have to have a readership. That is why my current focus is to gear new articles to the past audience and try to recapture some of those readers who have read my older articles.
I do know that Triond is an amazing opportunity for those of us who enjoy writing. Many of us would write no matter what. The added feature of earning income from our writing makes it all the better.

This is a well written personal account of your experience on Triond, Anne. I would suggest however, that there is no standard number of articles you need to have published to earn that $1 a day. As I am sure you know, having written on Triond for some time now, that your succes is determined by 75% marketing and 25% quality writing. I noticed you mentioned that you use technorati and delicious. I do not use those two myself, however, I do use reddit.com, digg.com, stumbleupon.com. twitter.com as well as yahoo buzz. I may even promote through MySpace and Facebook from time to time. With the number of articles you have published, if you were to utilize more venues of promotion as just stated, you could be making more than $2 a day.

Thanks for this article! I’ll add your blog to my Comma Cafe blogroll (thecommacafe.blogspot.com).
I agree with the person who said that it’s hard to set a certain number of articles that will earn you $1 a day. Personally, I find it a lot easier to make a dollar a day on some other writing sites, I find I write on Triond more for the love of it. I do now make a dollar a day some other places, (actually more than that) but not here. But your article has inspired me to see if I CAN make a dollar a day here, maybe I just haven’t written enough stories or promoted my Triond articles enough!
I enjoy your work here, have a great summer! -A
