How important do you think tags are? In Triond they might be one of the most important parts of your article.
For example, when someone wants to know more about a subject, they might click on the Tag they are interested the most. This means that the more related tags you add to your articles, the more pages it will generate with luck the tag will be targeted, important and very popular, and when people click on it or search for it, Triond generates an unique page with all articles with that Tag. If you add about ten tags to each of your article, you will get something like a page with your article obviously, plus ten other pages with all the articles that contain the Tag you added.
How many tags should you add per article? There is no limit, you should add all the tags you think they are related to the article. If you find 100 related tags, add 100 tags, but if you start adding tags that do not match the article, the user will go away without reading the article or clicking in your related articles titles giving you more page views.
Triond has a tag suggestion button that gives you some tags based on your article, but this will give you at best ten tags and not the most important ones. You should use that button but add your tags manually too. For example, if you use Google keyword tool, you can get about 50 related tags just for one keyword! If you use 5 keywords, then you might get 250 tags!
Are all those tags good for your content? Definitely. Like explained above, more tags means more pages with links to your articles.
