Many people are desperately searching for legit and honest ptc and bux sites. But there are also people who know about this and who only want to scam and rip off those users.
1. Before joining, take a look at their promises
A ptc or bux site that promises $1 per click, can’t be honest. Think about it: If you were the advertiser, would you pay $1 for one person only LOOKING at your website without doing anything? When buying ads, you normally only buy a visitor. It is totally up to this visitor whether he/she interacts with the website.
$0.01 is also not always sustainable. Many webmasters promote sites, where ebooks and services are sold. They don’t earn for you visiting this site, they only earn if someone buys this ebook or service. If no one buys anything, then the webmaster does not get money for his ptc or bux site and can’t pay you. A site with no advertisers from “outside” who actually pay for visitors can’t stay sustainable forever.
2. Before joining, read the Terms!
The most important thing is to read the Terms of Service, short terms or ToS. The ToS are the guidelines or the contract between the website and the users. You should always read them very carefully, as most of the scamming sites write the catch inside their ToS for everyone to read. If you join, it is your fault for not reading the terms.
A few example of phrases that should ring your alarm bell are:
“All earnings listed and/or represented are estimated value(s), actual value(s) subject to change with or without notice.”
This sentence does say that you will probably never get the amount paid that is inside your account. Basically, they can pay you 1 cent after clicking for weeks and everything is fine for them – as it is stated that way in their terms.
3. If you are still unsure, do a Google research
If you are still unsure about the terms and if a certain website is honest or scam, type in the name on Google. If you can’t find many results, add “scam” to the search and go through a couple of search results.
4. So, you did join…
If you have joined a website – especially if it is under one year old – it is not recommended to invest money into this site.
Investing does include buying upgrades and buying advertising or referrals. You never know if the website is still online tomorrow, keep that in mind. If you want to buy ads, buy them from your earnings or buy only small amounts. You should never send new sites money through Paypal or AlertPay as this is the most used scamming method: Running a site until enough members have invested and then *poof* disappear.
If you follow those 4 single tips, you should be extremely safe. And if you still happen to join a scam site, you have at least not lost your own money – only some time for clicking the scammer’s ads.
In case you are looking for recommendations, try Neobux or CaliforniaClicks.

As the owner of several Ptc sites I always welcome constructive advice for prospective members.
Where I agree with most of what the article says, I hestitate to agree with number 4. Obviously EVERYONE should be very careful when parting with money on the Internet, but do you really think that a Ptc site cane survive for more than one year WITHOUT any income from members? How do you expect the site to be able to make payouts?
I always look at Payment Proofs in BOTH the Site listings AND Forums, as the site listings can very easily be tampered with by the owner. If you can see screenshots of PayPal or AlertPay transactions in a Forum, it is a pretty sure thing that the site DOES pay, and is not a scam.
This is just a personal thought, in response to a worthy article.
