The secret of getting more traffic.

When I started writing few months ago, I thought, writing articles mean just write and leave on internet. Rest will happen automatically. Even the word traffic was associated with daily transport, according to me.

Later from few friends, I learnt that, we need to promote our articles, so that it can reach maximum readers. Here I’m going to tell about few sites I learnt from them and got benefited.

Blogs – Search engines, mostly look for keywords in owned websites and blogs first, before going to any other sites. If you have a blog, with interesting stuffs already, keep updating it with your latest article details also. Just don’t put the link. Put it in effective way that users will be interested to click the link to your article. Check out here, how I’m doing.

StumbleUpon – A good social network site, where you can “thumbs up” your own article, which will be viewed by various other users.

Twitter – Twitter is another social network site, where you can add links to your article. Even those who are not in your friends list can be able to see your tweet (the link you added) and hence you will get unexpected viewers to your articles.

Facebook – Next comes my facebook account. Without having proper network, you are not going to achieve much here. Create your own friends network and spread about your article.

Bing.com – This is a popular SEO site, where your article will be indexed at top, if it is really interesting, thereby making it to come in the top places in search engines when searched by users. You don’t need to register. Just go directly to to the site and submit your work.

Apart from this, create friends in Triond community itself, to read your work. To do so, you must first visit others work and leave comments, so that they will get back to you, instead of mailing them or asking them to check your work first. Always don’t expect everyone whom you wrote comments to get back to your work. Some people won’t do. Don’t lose hope. Keep trying. Don’t write comments just for getting it back; do write truthfully to few works, which are really good, even though the author is not in your friend’s circle.

Totally love StumbleUpon because if even one of your articles makes it big there, the rewards you reap are massive. I like Digg too because provided one of your articles is REALLY popular, then the amount of views you can get is so great it can be terrifying. Really good work!
