How to Sign Up for Triond Referral System

Use this new beta system to earn some extra cents, quick, before spots run out!

On November 11, 2009, Triond introduced Referrals Beta, so you can promote Triond and have more people sign up. The incentive is that Triond pays you 10% of whatever your referrals earn, but they don’t lose anything from being referred and keep 100% (Triond doesn’t take 10% from them).

There’s quite a bit of confusion about referrals though.

Requirements

To use this system, you need to have been paid at least once. They don’t think new users who haven’t written any or enough content should be given a spot in the referrals program, nor are they “not new” enough to start referring other new users.

That means you need to have earned at least $0.50 once in your life to qualify.

Signing up

To actually sign up it’s strange how complicated it is. I don’t know why Triond just doesn’t provide a referral link URL to every user who qualifies, or just have a button that says “Sign me up for referrals”.

Their instructions on the blog are unclear, so I’ll make it clear. Using the email you signed up to Triond with (if you don’t know click “Account” and you’ll see your email under “Required Details”), compose a message and as the subject and actual message, put “Sign me up” without the quotes and send it to referrals@triond.com.
