Browsers

The browser wars are far from being over because every browser has its own capabilities and short comings as such it would not be wise to declare a browser to be the best and suitable for all environments and all kinds of people. So instead of craving for the best one I reckon it would be better if we can decide which browser suits us the best. The following pages will give a detail into the strongholds of different browsers and it is for you to come to a conclusion.

There are over a hundred web browsers, computer and phone platforms put together but all of them run on certain layout engines they are

Trident Shells – Internet explorer , Maxthon , Enigma , Green Browser , Avant Browser etc…

Gecko based browsers - Firefox, Camino, Mozilla Application Suite, Netscape, and other Gecko-based browsers etc…

WebKit based browsersSafari, Arora, Midori, OmniWeb, Shiira, iCab since version 4, Epiphany, SRWare Iron,Google Chrome and in Maxthon 3.

Presto – for Opera 7 and above, Macromedia Dreamweaver MX and MX 2004 (Mac), and Adobe Creative Suite 2

These are the most important of them although there are others which are only specific for applications and not for general internet browsing. These four engines are taken into consideration because they together add up to 98% of all users and are graphical interfaces. To get the complete list of all web rendering engines follow this link.

so by comparing these four engines would be in appeal to all the internet users at least that is what i was thinking.

“Safari and chrome are not different they are different only on the outside they work on the same engine at its core ” you should be able to figure it out since both of them have the same page lay out engine webkit
