Have you ever been wondering which internet browser to use? Do you find your current browser to be unstable, slow or you just miss some functions from it?
Today’s favorite browsers are:
- Internet Explorer
- Mozilla Firefox
- Google Chrome
- Opera
- Safari
Each of these differs from the other in some details, but they all have the same aim, to make your browsing as comfortable as it can be and to make your work easier. Some succeed better than other, some have better visual effects, one might be more secure while another is faster.
I have been using Opera for about 2 years and it was doing a great job. Then I started using Firefox, which was working also really well for a long time and I really got used to it, but a couple months ago I started noticing that it was crashing and not responding from time to time. I found this really annoying and tried to resolve the problem, but I couldn’t succeed. So I have changed to Google Chrome, since I have only heard good things about it and it was said to be the fastest browser at the moment.
Features:
- It is really fast (faster than anything I had before).
- Reliable, it has never crashed.
- Nice user interface and layout with good animations.
I had nor problems with it, it was really fast and reliable. Handles passwords, flash and everything great. Besides these, I have to say I personally prefer Firefox and just changed back to it a couple days ago.
Why I prefer Mozilla Firefox?
- My favorite Add-Ons are only available for Firefox, like DownloadHelper and Read It Later.
- It is supported and works perfectly with Spybot Search & Destroy, which makes it immune to a wide range of Spyware, Malware and Trojan attacks.
- Great Toolbars, which won’t work with Chrome.
Although Google Chrome is an amazing browser it lacks the two above things (for me at least). I have seen the Read It Later Add-On for it (or a slightly different one at least), but it doesn’t work as effectively as it works with Firefox.
My other problem was the amount of unwanted software, like spywares, in my system. I have just checked my PC at there were around 25 problems, caused by different suspicious programs. Since I was using my computer in the exact same way as I did before, except that for a couple months I was using Chrome, there must be a problem with the browser itself. I didn’t have any issues like this with Firefox, since it worked perfectly together with Spybot Search & Destroy that has immunized it against the know Spywares. I consider this as a real threat and if it wasn’t for this reason I might have stayed with Chrome, but now I am switching back to my good, old setup.
I also have to mention that Firefox is not notably slower than Chrome, so I didn’t really consider this point.
These are the only things that make ME to go for Firefox instead of Chrome. This is only my personal opinion. I was totally satisfied with both of these browsers, I do like Chrome, and it is indeed really good, but I got used to Firefox so much tat I’m missing little things. (Moreover, I found out why it was crashing, actually it had nothing to do with Firefox, it was because of a third program. It’s working perfectly now)
