For the first time a browser can do that.
“Brains” of Google released a fantastic new web app for Chrome actually this new app gives a new dimension to the capabilities that Chrome and other browsers had before. This application is called Chrome Remote Desktop and it allows users to take control a computer remotely and securely, all within a window/tab of Chrome!
While this technology itself is nothing new and is widely used by different programmers or people who need help from someone far away on computers, embedding it in a browser and even with security is an interesting move.
Chrome Remote Desktop is currently available in Beta, the application uses a secure password to allow access to the host. Both computers must have installed the app to work. The system is designed to work cross-platform on Mac, PC, and Linux, which is a very powerful asset for the app.
It also works in Chrome OS, which is likely to be the main cause of development and field operations.
The application is huge, 17 whole MB, and is available in the Chrome App Store.
