What’s Guest Blogging?

I now subscribe to a blogger that gives advice to other bloggers, just like I give advice to other bloggers.  The difference is that the blogger I subscribe to has so many readers and makes so much money that he pays other bloggers to help him run his blog which is now a big business that has become a network.  There are several big time bloggers like this.  Just do a search using key words like professional, blogger or making money blogging.

Every morning I get up and open my email and read the latest words of wisdom from this blogging guru.  It still amazes me that people make $50,000 or more a year just blogging.  I can tell you right now that my blogging guru is not a better writer than I am.  I can also tell you that I know that I may be the better writer but I am not the better blogger.  My goal is to make $30 a day.  I’ll be giddy over that.  I can brag to family, friends and strangers about that.  I can pay off my student loans before I die with that.  My social security takes care of my basic needs.

So, I read his words of wisdom.  He blogs about making money blogging.  After I read the latest tidbits of wisdom in the email I go directly to his blog.  I study the template.  I read the top ten articles that are constantly updated.  I read the archives.  On the blog are plenty of posts about hosting, marketing, search engines and the stress of blogging and what to blog about.  It’s very informative.  He knows what he’s blogging about.

He uses guest bloggers.

The guest bloggers are bloggers like you and me who submit an article and if accepted for publication are allowed to link the article back to their blog.  I’m thinking of the possibility of linking back to my Triond profile.

This is something I intend to investigate further.
