2.5 Million Pesos Gone in One Day

It was a few days ago, when I freaked out to find I had at least 58,000 US dollars in my Triond account. If converted to Philippine peso, that would be at least 2.5 MILLION. Immediately I posted a thought about it to confirm it wasn’t just a dream. I didn’t even read the blog twice before clicking the “submit” button. Triond must have turbo-boosted its publishing process that time. After a few minutes of refreshing, I saw my blog published online under webupon. I called it “Millions from Triond – is This for Real?

I tried to convince myself it was only a mistake. Triond must have had a little problem with its server. I kept on telling that to everyone I had conversations with. Who would ever give someone that amount for an article written based from a field trip. I also have it submitted for Triond and it was published under Newsflavor “Landslide in Ginsaugon Southern Leyte.” I’ve traced that this blog had accumulated 99% of the total income posted in my account. Other bloggers from Triond shared similar experience. Reading those comments made my excitement to slowly subside. My heart beat seemed to drop below its normal rate.

Despite of that, part of me hoped my experience wasn’t exactly the same with what others experienced. Maybe a very rich person simply loved that poignant article I’ve written.

Hours of refreshing my earnings page on Triond, it remained 58 thousand plus dollars.

I thought I must really be my lucky day! I went back to my room to rest after that.

The following day, the first thiing I did was check my account if it was still the same. To my amazement, it remained unscathed.

What am I going to do with such amount of money? That was the question in my mind the whole morning. I couldn’t find a single answer.

After lunch, I logged back in to my Triond account. $ 44.64 – this was the amount displayed on the dashboard. Seeing that amount, which is very realistic instead of the tantamount $58,276.68, I was relieved. I wouldn’t have to experience an abrupt change, from doing the usual writing hobby to doing the normal things poor people like me do.

My millions, which were fake in the first place are now gone!

    Shocking when you losing…

  4. $44.64 is a good amount compared to what I make. I too had a substantial amount in my earnings for only one day. Of course they would fix that mistake before payout.

Glad you’re still grounded to reality. Anyway, I guess it was worth the short-lived excitement.
