What is So Good About Writinghood?

I told myself all I would ever write about is sport, until I found Writinghood.

I joined Triond in September 2007, the goal to make money and produce articles about sport, and sport only. After getting my first article published (Texas Poker Hits Invercargill, New Zealand) I decided to write something different, producing an article called “Top Five Lagers For The Overseas Tourist“ which i believe to be my worst ever. I am so tempted to delete it but the two or so views a month it receives somehow stops me from doing that.

After writing many more sports articles, I noticed a new site Triond had formed called Writinghood. I had never dabbled in producing articles about writing before so I decided to give it a go. I did and noticed a good following. Producing more and more writing articles, I seemed to read a lot more content throughout the site an noticed the potential.

Writinghood contains some brilliant articles. I have learnt the difference between many on-line writing websites such as Helium, Bukisa, Suite 101 and Constant Content. This helped me decide which the the best site was to write for.

I also found a lot of helpful material on promoting your content, writing structures and ways of earning more money by writing. This has helped my articles almost triple in views by just reading and learning about different content on this site.

A good tip for Triond users is to read as much content on Writinghood as possible. This site contains so much useful information that can help you throughout your writing career with Triond. Thank you Writinghood and Triond, for producing this great website. Take a look at some of the content I’ve produced on this site when you get some time.

Ben, you are absolutely right. I use to just try to produce content and read my friend’s content. My pageviews were not so good and I wasn’t always interested in my friend’s content. I’m sure they’re not interested in all my content. Then I started surfing Writinghood and Webupon and reading all the articles that had titles that I was interested in and leaving comments and two things happened. My pageviews went up and I learned a lot of great stuff that will help my online writing career.

Here’s something I learned about today from “bearhugs”. There is a site that allows you to put a link on its site back to your Triond content (or any content) and the community reads it and ranks it. I linked to Girls Gone Wild http://www.authspot.com/Short-Stories/Girls-Gone-Wild.699307

Like I said, I just put the link up today; but if my writing instincts are correct this is going to make a big difference in my pageviews.

You may want to check it out. Oh, I almost forgot. It’s http://www.reddit.com

Send me a message some time if you decide to use the site and let me know how it’s working out. We’ll compare notes.
