An unofficial poll for Triond writers.
Many of us have found a home of sorts at Triond. We’ve made friends and improved our writing skills. We enjoy creating and publishing content and look forward to monthly earnings.
Triond has added new graphs so that writers can see where their traffic is coming from. As well, Triond has made publishing content much easier, with incorporation of Suggested Tags and the Image Suggestions in the Online Editor.
No doubt about it, the Triond publishing platform offers a flexible medium for writers and has proven to be a valued writing site. But, have you ever thought to yourself, I wish that I could . . . or . . . I wish Triond offered . . .
In keeping with that, today’s article asks:
What Features Would You Like to See at Triond?
Triond Incentives
- An earnings bonus when a writer reaches a set number of articles
- An earnings bonus if an article attracts a record number of views
- A small share of revenue when other writers join Triond under you
- A linking incentive, whereby, if you link to other Triond articles, you receive a small share of revenue if someone goes to the other article page
Triond Online Editor Features
- A built-in Word Count in the Online Editor so that you know your article reaches minimum word count requirements
Triond Newsletter Features
- Author spotlights, showcasing successful Triond writers
Tutorials
- Tutorials on attracting article traffic
- Tutorials on using keywords
Triond Contests
- Official Triond contests
Grab Bag
- Any other hoped-for Triond feature that does not appear on this list
I’ve offered this unofficial poll for the features writers would like to see at Triond, to give authors a chance to voice their preferences. This poll is a great way to collect author feedback.
And who knows? Our feedback may shape Triond features of the future.
What features would you like to see at Triond? Please comment and share your insights.

The earnings bonus is a really good one and if others join. Would give you a good incentive.

Hi Ben,
Yes, an earnings bonus would reward those who work extremely hard producing many articles, such as Nelson Doyle or Kristie Leong.
I believe incentives would help to keep writers motivated. Some sites offer a percentage when their writers reach a certain number of articles.

I would like to see promotional components embedded into Triond. A way fo farming the articles out to the e-sphere.

Hi Jerry,
That’s an excellent idea.

What a cool article!
Anything to do with money is alright by me, so all of the above. The only one I shy from would be a referral program (like Bukisa). For somre reason it just doesn’t sit right with me.
Jerry has a good idea about marketing. Triond have always maintained that it is up to us to market our work. I do not know if they still do, but they used to ask if they could give my articles to third parties. I allowed it for a while and then said no more as the hits were no greater than what I would ordinarily have gotten and I was splitting revenue three ways not two!
The problem with marketing for Triond is this. If every article that they published was of the same quality then they would probably do it. However, we all know that quality is a consistent issue on Triond and if they were to market everything on Triond successfully they would soon be hounded off the internet. Best to leave it to us I reckon.
The disaster that is the forum should be scrapped and replaced by something more site focused that does not allow people to spend their days bitching about others!

Hi R.J.,
Thanks for your comments. It would be nice is some of the better quality articles were available for resale to interested parties, as long as they remained on the Triond site and it was stated that they were published first via Triond and available for distribution for a fee–similar to Associated Content.

I would like :
One notice/day for when my friends post: this followed by the number of post
Be able to sign in once and not have to re-enter name and password with every comment
Be alerted when someone adds me as their friend
Separation of articles: Poetry, How To, Short Stories,…
Thanks,
Clay

Hi Athlyn,
All of these are great ideas. It would be hard to decide on just one, but I like the bonus idea the best. It would be great to have a bonus for writing x amount per month and if you reach x views in one months time. It is hard for some of us to stay motivated when we see hard work only earn a few pennies. A bonus would not only encourage more submissions, but also to market those submissions better.
You always have the best ideas. I vote we make you President of Triond

I hope some suggestions here will be given attention. Some of my ideas were already given but if they can add get video suggestions and not only image suggestions when submitting an article, I think that would be nice.

Yes, it would be nice for achievers to be rewarded with an added incentive. It would certainly keep submissions forthcoming.
I know of some sites that offer an additional percentage, once you reach a certain number of articles.

This is easy. A views total row on my dashboard across all articles to see how many views you get a month (a week, a day) without having to add them all up individually.
