Get ready and get set to slack off from your workplace with SlackerDan’s weekly list of fun and unproductive websites.
Yet another week blurs past and here we are, time for another issue of SlackerDan the Internet Slacker’s Websites to Waste Your Week. Let’s raise a glass for unproductivity, shall we? And here we go:
(The Customer Is) Not Always Right
Here’s a great website chock full of stories from salespeople, IT people, etc, dealing with irate and often incredibly stupid customers. There’s also a best of “popular quotes” section that is particularly amusing. Maybe you have some funny stories to contribute!
friv.com
This website has over 200 Flash and Shockwave games in a great layout. Just click on a button and the game loads. It’ll take you many business hours to explore them all. Many business hours indeed.
Comboll game
Speaking of great games, here’s Comboll! Tke objective is simple yet challenging: keep the ball bouncing off platforms; if you fall off the screen, you lose a life. There’s also an active chat window and other games on this site.
[timebeat]
Need a soothing, relaxing moment? Try out timebeat, an innovative Internet clock. It plays soothing trance music along with a heatbeart. Why, you could probably fall asleep listening to this website. Or you could turn your computer speakers up really loud so the heartbeat from this site echoes throughout your entire workplace. Your choice.
Bin’s Corner: Some people are great with cameras…
Here’s a site with a page full of interesting pictures such as this one:

Almost all the pictures depict some cute animal doing something, well, cute. Good to show to other co-workers to make them stop working, too.
Is It Real or Fake?
This website shows some of the most famous pictures on the Internet and the history behind them. Some pictures are fake, some are real, and this site often includes other links to corroborate the story. All in all a very interesting article.
Tower of Bears
Here’s a real time-waster! Fifteen teddy bears form a triangle, and your cursor knocks “em down. No matter how many times you knock them down, the teddy bears will leap up to form another pyramid. A fabulous time-waster, indeed.
Book-A-Minute
Now here”s a great idea: super-condense various famous books. And when I say super-condense, I mean it. Entire books are reduced to a few lines that accurately describe the story. There’s science fiction, bedtimes stories, and classic literature.
Nikal
Another “concept” website here… or is it? By moving your cursor you create new lines that flow and change color. Very soothing, great for relaxing at your job or to make your boss scream when he sees you drawing lines while tranced out.
The Beast That Swallows Its Young
And in the fine tradition of closing off Websites to Waste Your Week, this week we have a great YouTube video by a talented guy named Matt Kresling. He miraculously turned debt collector’s calls into music. Great tune and music video all around.
That’s it for this edition of Websites to Waste Your Week. Remember, unproductivity at the work place is the purpose of this weekly article, let me know if it’s working!
