Another work week lays ahead but fear not! SlackerDan is here with URL’s o’ fun to make the day go by before you know it. And that’s really the purpose here, to stop you working. It’s a conspiracy of one, i.e. me, to cut down your productivity through the following websites. If I get enough people not working, I’ll rule the world! (probably not). So here we go:

Tromino Puzzles

Here’s are two puzzles played with various shaped pieces to fill the board. This game reminds me of the classic Tetris, but the gameplay is quite different… and time-wasting!

Vectorpark

Want more inexplicable web games? Visit Vectorpark, which has numerous flash games requiring thought and logic in order to figure them out in the first place. Or if it’s a game in the first place! A lot of fun & great time-wasting potential here.

The Boys and the Subway

Here is a very entertaining article written by Christoph Neimann, a multi-award winning graphic artist. He discusses and illustrates the obessession his two sons have with the subway system, how they love to ride it for hours, even memorizing subway maps! I imagine Mr. Neimann never gets lost on the subway when his two sons accompany him.

Dino*Run

Great 8-bit style game where you’re a dinosaur trying to outrun the inevitable pyroclastic cloud of doom. I don’t know if this game is win-able, since dinosaurs didn’t do too well in real life filled with fiery boulders and lava-belching volcanos.

WriteSomething

Here’s a neat website, something not unlike an Internet graffiti board. You write something and it gets published. It’s quite fascinating (or unsettling) to read what other maniacs out there on the “net have written.

A webcomic that made me laugh, and the other strips over at Abstruse Goose are quite teh funny.

If lots of videos make you happy, visit BestViral. They have lots of funny & weird videos to watch. Lots of classic vids too, like that guy singing “Chocolate Rain”, etc, God help us all.

Hypnotic Image

Nothin’ like staring at a hypnotic image until work is over. This animated gif is very hypnotic and should be good for a few hours of staring at until you feel your frontal lobes begin to swell.
