Need ten URL’s that are interesting and, more importantly, will help you sneak away the business hours? Check out SlackerDan’s issue 16 of Websites to Waste Your Week.
Here’s number 16 of this e-article. How long will I, SlackerDan the Internet Slacker, continue to produce this weekly source of good time-wasting pursuits? Personally I’m aiming for 100 of these articles but who knows? Leave me some feedback if these columns have been helping you avoid work.
With that said, a-heeere we go…
A great site covering a wide variety of strange & unusual websites. Click on the left in the PoETV to see wacky and/or bizarre videos. Updated fairly often.
Nostalgia time! This website has an impressive mix of cartoon characters and, if you want to hear the theme to a particular cartoon, just click on a character.
3. 75 Inspirational Business Cards
Think your business card is dull? Maybe needs a little “oomph” in style? Check out these 75 original business cards, some of them very impressive.
4. Free 30+ High Quality Desktops for Your Computer
Over at Life Rocks 2.0 are some great desktops for your computer. They’re all from Deviantart and very trippy and surreal.
A bunch of different subjects to read while at work. Topics range from “Nuclear Weapons Primer” to “Hawii Volcanoes Nat’l Park”. All-in-all a great layout and interesting information.
This is a great game over at E4 . You’re a samurai who has to travel along and slash enemies with your sword. A unique game design, and lots of fun.
A hilarious webcartoon at Explosm.net . Stick figure art, but the punchlines are often LOL. Very extensive archive of cartoons as well.
8. Weapons Against Robots Defence Company
Worry about the day when robots will rise against us? You’ll be well-prepared against any robot onslaught with the items on this website.
9.SlightlyWarped.com’s Amazing Images
There are a lot of funny and bizarre images over at The Slightly Warped Website. And there’s a lot of them too. Good for wasting some time while you’re presumably “working”.
A very funny public service announcement on converting your antennae when all analog TV signals will be switched over to digital.
Well that’s it for this week’s Waster. See you next week!
