Web Comics, also known as Internet comics, are a great entertainment source. Ever since these comics were introduced, hundreds of different web comics emerged, which are freely available to everyone, and cater for individual’s taste. Here are some of the greatest and most famous web comics of all time.

Cyanide and Happiness is hosted on Explosm. The simplistic drawings and crude humor attract over one million viewers a day. The four authors have submitted almost a comic a day since the 26th of January 2005. There is also several videos that are either remade from previous comics or fresh ideas. They can be found here.

Randall Munroe, the author of the xkcd comics, describes his work as “a webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language.” It contains a lot of humor related to these aspects. The comics began from his drawings taken from his school books and uploaded to his website. The increasing success of the comics has lead Munroe to work on them full time.

The Joy of Tech is written by Liza Schmalcel and Bruce Evans (Nitrozac and Snaggy). These web comics are technology based, and are created in full color. There are several references to Windows and Apple software, and the continuing competitiveness between the two.

Ctrl+Alt+Del (Cad) is a web comic related to games, and is written by Tim Buckley. The comics are based on gaming, especially Role Playing Games. The name relates to the windows command often used to open the task manager. The comics were first shown October 23, 2002, and new comics are uploaded 3 days a week. There are several published books containing these comics and include some exclusive content.

Diesel Sweeties is a Web comic that began in 2000. The web comic is based in a world where humans and robots exist and live together. The robots and humans develop relationships, this being one of the main themes in the comics. The comics are purposely pixelated, this being one of the comic’s distinct features.
