Triond “Forbidden” Exposed

One, two, three, forbidden, four, five, six… resubmit.

I’ve spent many year as an investigative reporter and it took me a long time to figure out the Triond “Forbidden.”  I should have been smarter than that.  It has nothing to do with anyone’s comment but is a computerized sequence signaling a response.  For example:  every so often comments will get a “forbidden” no matter what is written on the comment line.  I know this is automated because you can click it again and it will go right through.  Morover, Triond was recently sold to an outfit in Israel and I can tell you these folks do not spend money on operators reading comments.  This is automated.   Reclick a “forbidden” and it goes right through.  There is no live person giving you that problem.  An F word will work if you are out of the mix.  “Forbiddens” are jokes.

The same is true for poems and short stories..no editors are available for scrutiny.  Just shoot them on through no matter what the content.  That’s why the content is a bit raunchy today as compared to the previous ownership.

As to the credibility of Triond…they don’t have any.  They don’t belong to any Better Business Bureau.  Their checks come  from an off shore bank.  I don’t trust any company that refuses to produce a physical address and a list of corporate officers.  In my heart I believe Triond has the capacity to be crooked..

Good points raised here. I, too have often wondered why there are no real folks behind the scenes at Triond. My biggest gripe is the obvious automated Hot Content list.

I wonder if HAL is in charge of things.

Bless you Ken! I get them and just keep resending xxx I have the problem of one of my stories being declined because I am just to naughty and it wasn’t even erotic! it was a horror and yes I suppose some of it was not for normal consumption but hey, this is the year 2009 x

  3. Gatomon Says:

    wow i didn’t know…

  4. deep blue Says:

Yes I was reminded of HAL in Arthur C. Clarke’s 2001, a space odyssey. Maybe we’re being governed by Mr. Roboto all the way down the line. Domo arigato Mr. Roboto Mata o Himadi….you’re wondering who I am, machine or mannequin, with parts made in Japan, I am the modern man(so goes the lyrics). I wonder if such company as Triond was founded by the banks of the river Styx. You nipped it in the bud, Ken.

    Very nice information…

  8. Uma Shankari Says:

You simply refresh the page when the “forbidden” message appears and
you’ll see that the comments have got accepted. I remember that for
one of my articles you kept resubmitting and thanks to this bug, I
had more than my right share of comments that I even thanked Triond
    for this effect.

  9. Guy Hogan Says:

I didn’t know know about the “Forbidden” but I never did think an actually person looked at what was submitted. Triond gets way too many submissions. Triond would have to have 1,000 editors to read everything.

I have found the ‘forbidden’ thing quite annoying, especially when you are try to read lots of pieces. I usually resend it and it goes through okay. A good post.

  15. Mystify Says:

Well this sure is a thought provoking piece!!I never get the forbiiden but continue to get can’t post comment not responding. Iagree there is no moderators for comments and as far as poetry and stories go I definately agree with you there Ken, they all go through within seconds! As far as help goes real people do respond, however; only two I know of and lately it has just been one but they have told me there is editors. From what I know the first thing that happens when you press submit is a program is run to see if your material matches any other online content,if so you get a declined,if not it usually goes through if you have been here for a while.I’m not sure about this new company buy out.we shall see what we shall see I suppose. It sure wouldn’t be good if it were a crooked company!! Brillaint work as usual Ken,it sure did get me thinking!!

  16. VickyH Says:

  22. Jane Jane Says:

great write ken. I always get a forbidden but sends it again and it goes right through. As for the pay, I never received yet since I live in a province and have to wait for 50 having no paypal.

  23. PR Mace Says:

I have not gotten the forbidden yet. I guess I am too clean. LOL. Great article and I hope to see more into the forbidden realm of Triond.

  24. Paul2KAD Says:

I’ve never seen the forbidden thing but I’ve only been writing stuff for Triond for a short while. Something else to look out for.

I’m always interested to hear more about how these systems work.

  25. mr sir Says:

Something else I’ve just noticed is that the Triond editors are computers. When you submit an article it is read by a computer, and all it does is check for spelling errors, size and if there is any content similar to it.

I know because once I submitted an article and it got published in under a minute. Plus if they get declined the email always says the same things lol…
