Triond and Goggle Adsense: What is It Really All About?

Triond seems to be offering google adsense sharing to some but not all of it’s writers. From what little information I have been able to garner it could be a good deal for some writers and not so good for others.

I have been reading a lot the last couple of weeks about Triond adding adsense to their site much as Xomba does. However, I am a little confused about the whole thing.

First, Triond has told us nothing about this addition to their site, and at least for the moment it seems to be offered only to a few writers. Most of us have heard little or nothing about it.

What I have read, I actually read on another writing site and not on Triond itself. The information in the article I received indicated that in order to collect from adsense on Triond that not only do your articles have to be original as they are now, but that you can’t ever use that article or any part of it on any other writing site. So in essence, if If I understand correctly, you are selling all rights to your article to Triond in order to get adsense.

If this is correct, I am not sure that I like this idea. While I think people who are just starting out writing should try and publish as much new content as possible, I think there are times especially for established writers when using part or all of article makes sense.

For example, on this site I published an article on how to make a Penguin Christmas Ornament out of a light bulb. On another site I published an article telling how to make seven different light bulb ornaments. The penguin ornament was one of them.

I am not sure that I would be willing to give up the income I made from that article on the other site on the chance that someone who read the article off this site might click on an ad.

I do believe you can make money from adsense and for those who write exclusively for Triond this may be a great way to make income. For those of us who write for several writing sites, we might just want to look at the fine print before giving away the rights to our articles.

I’m curious to see what the details of the integration turn out to be. It seems so mysterious and secretive right now. I just barely got the invite today and integrated. Triond has not provided hardly any details about how things are going to work. Hmm, I hope it’s going to be a good thing.

In principle, all the rumours you heard anywhere, martie, are not true. No discussion needed about that, you may republish parts of your article anytime, anywhere.

I have integrated AdSense about two weeks ago, and there are a few pennies coming in that way … no comparison to Triond pay, though. But every penny counts :D

Interesting, I haven’t heard about it. Put a link to your articles you mention (the penguin..)
