There is no doubt that the various mechanisms of communication and interaction on the internet have a fundamental dependence on technology. However its essence is not technological, but human.
Information technologies are based on the promise to facilitate and streamline processes, increase productivity and reduce costs, but in all cases where this promise was not honored to have in common is the understatement of the most important human factor: the quality of the content.

It is incredible how the vast majority of commercial websites is more emphasis on the visual appearance of the interfaces in the quality of his words, that is, whether what they say as a company and the quality of information their products and services.
It seems that these businesses have websites, burdened by unnecessary visual effects dazzle think customers is more important to connect properly with the needs of customers in order to offer relevant solutions that meet.
Look What Happens to the Words
The success of a website is determined by the quality of information that publishes. The words make the difference. Are most important. The content of a website is translated into words that allow visitors to identify and distinguish one section from another.
The quality of Internet browsing is dependent on words. When we got to the site you were looking for or when we feel lost because we fail to find what you are looking for experience as determined by the proper use of words.
Directories and Internet search engines rely on keywords that are on the website to give good results for people who are looking for a certain information, who in turn perform your search using keywords?
If this is so, why information processing is so poor on the websites of the companies? Why almost all businesses use many areas of leadership and innovation to try and connect with customers, rather than oriented towards the needs of these?

The Technology is Not the Content
The benefits of information technology will collapse when it comes to the point of generating the content, because this depends on factors that are not understood easily.
For example, large Latin American writers like Jorge Luis Borges and Gabriel García Márquez, did not need computers or processors supersonic sophisticated word processing program to write their works.
Likewise, a secretary does not automatically become a graphic designer that can use a word processor with many visual resources, or because it has at its disposal the most advanced support for graphic design.
Misunderstanding of the Importance of Content
Commercial information on the website of a company is nothing if there is a clarity of vision to communicate, if there is capacity and skills of communication and if there are personality and style.
Good content in a commercial website requires the company to have communication skills that are not obtained from the overnight, and inadequate guidance on the use of technology, far from helping, you can prevent these skills are developed.
But the misunderstanding is in the managerial levels of companies on these issues is so great that the concerns and decisions are more oriented to find programs that generate machine contents to address these needs.
Technology can not organize and structure the information about your business for you. Sosmeone should write all the messages that you consider crucial to market their products and services. And if this is not the result can be counterproductive. When the quality of the information on your website is down your company’s reputation is harmed.
Any clues? Think about the customers of your site as people and as readers.

Very true. Some companies don’t even bother to understand what a website is for. They have website for the sake of having website, which I as a web-programmer won’t recommend to do.

It’s funny how sometimes we are attracted to a title but then the article turns to be disappointing and vice versa. In this case, I didn’t know by the title that I would find information so close to my personal interests. I work as a content and media producer and I cannot agree more with your point of view about the importance of the quality of the information and communication over the technology (or at least, at the same level).
Thanks.

Great article. I agree with the points you made.

If this article provides a benchmark for quality of words one should expect on the net then may the good god have mercy on us.
The article is riddled with nonsense words and phrases.

I agree.. But that is the human nature. So no need to blame anyone for this.

Your abuse of the English language is simply painful; how ironic that your article covers the correct use of words. It’s clear that English isn’t your first language, so stop using long words you don’t understand until you can form a simple sentence without error.
