We’ve all had spam, pop-ups and useless links. What’s the worst?
5) Online Poker and other means of online Gambling or explicit material is possibly one of the biggest wastes of space on the world wide web. Staying up all night and betting money on pieces of coding and binary is pretty much the lowest form of entertainment.
4) Pop-Ups saying
“10000000 Viewer!!”
or
“You just won a Bugatti Veyron!!”
It’s all tosh.
really they are just waiting for the absent minded person to click on it as they start downloading all sorts of malware.
3) Email chain letters.
Most of us get them. Most of them say that if you pass this to 40 people *and kill their joy* then you will meet the love of your life on friday…etc…etc. Or if you don’t tonight u will be attacked by the demonic soul of Dora the violent Jehovah’s Witness or the evil monkey.
And when you send them to a friend they just send them back to you and it goes on and on and on.
2) Down the side panels of certain sites you have the annoying banners saying:
“Find someone to **** Tonight!!”
or
“Yakuka from Portsmouth”
IT was obvious she was not from portsmouth because you can see the great wall of China or whatever in the background.
They get your IP Address and begin their false advertising. That’s all they do…

You’re very tired and you have been up all scanning the net for your favirote game, movie or song.
You’re starting to get pretty annoyed at all of these sample tracks and “Pay us and we will give you your *Free* download.”
And all of that rubbish. You get desperate and you visit a site that looks a bit tacky and cheap.
You start to think… “Hmm i dont think i should be here.”
But it’s late so you decide to click download without looking at the file size and your pc is suddenly over run by spyware and loads of other stuff that really are the bane of joy.
It takes a long time to remove trojans and you really start to believe that its hopeless.
Some nerd in a shed with a laptop and a terabyte of virus’s really gets on my nerves.
