Ten years ago the U.S. mail and the telephone were the only forms of communication. Now the internet a whole new technology not only connects friends and family, but creates new firends from blogs, forums, instant messaging (IM) and now Twitter.


Communication for thousands of years has evolved and developed into many forms and languages being the direct the key to the interchange of thoughts, opinions, or information by speech, writing, or signs utilized. Their are three major parts in person to person communication; body language (Facial expression, hand movement etc…), voice tone and choice of words. Communication has adapted through time into many different verbal dialects and languages. Now through the information technology age person to person communication can be interchanged by postal mail, telephone and the internet.
Technology offers a direct communication link without costly telephone bills or the long delay
of the postal service. The information technology era has created the world wide web with simple, intovated and instant ways to communicate to friends, loved ones, co-workers, groups of interest or forums of concern. Communicating has never been easier, cost free and instant.

The internet now offers all three parts of person to person communication by instant messenger, photo exchange and web cams. Tons of choices and preferences are available to utilize these benefits; AOL, Yahoo, My Space and Google all offer Instant messenger and web cam groups. Exchanging opinions, concerns and thoughts through groups and forums of interest has created new friends around the world without the problem of the communication barrier. Now the internet processes and converts different dialects of language so, people can communicate from different countries. Now Twitter offers followers a chance to show their loyalty to their favorite person.
The world wide web offers tons of technology and who knows whats to come in the future it’s just an open door to touching the future.
