The best bargains are online. Here are some of the best websites that can save you money on plane tickets, gasoline, clothing, restaurants, and more.

There are plenty of ways to save money. Some ways better than others. You can spend hours cutting coupons on the living room floor, or you can hop onto the internet, and take advantage of some great websites and services you didn’t even know were there.

Plane Tickets

Kayak mimics more well-known fare-finders like Expedia or Priceline in that it searches through all airlines and booking services to find a deal. The slick presentation allows you to customize your search easily, and the fares almost always turn out better than Expedia or Priceline.

Coupons

Before you purchase anything from any site, check Retail Me Not first. They almost always have usable coupons for shopping online. Even better, download the Mozilla Firefox extension, and whenever you visit a site that has coupons available, a bar will pop down on your screen letting you know how many coupons are available, and the best price for each.

You can find plenty of online coupons from Dealcatcher, as well. But the site also maintains a pretty good database of printable coupons to use at clothing stores and chain restaurants. Before you head off to shop, type in the name of a store and see if any coupons are available! Other like minded sites (but a little more clunky and unpredictable) include Dealhack and Slickdeals. These sites have RSS feeds, so utilize those in case you want updates on the latest coupons and deals.

Gasoline

Type in your area code, and Gas Buddy will give you a Google map marking stations with the lowest gas prices in your area. You’ll be able to see any other nearby stations in case you’re pressed for time, not money.

Restaurants

Restaurant.com works in a peculiar way. Instead of handing out coupons, you make purchases of gift certificates. The good news is that the certificates are in your favor. $25 gift certificates are only $10, while $10 gift certificates cost you only $3. Type in your area code to see what restaurants are available. Additionally, you can make reservation free online.

Toptable works in the same way as Restaurant.com, but is for the residents and restaurants of the UK.

Of course, there are plenty of other ways to find bargains and save money on plane tickets, restaurants and gasoline, but with these sites, you won’t even have to get out of bed. Happy bargain hunting. Leave any other tips or great websites in the comments section!

And another important web site is http://www.valpak.com.

Not only does the Valpak envelope get mailed to 45 million homes across the country, but Valpak.com has been online for 10 years, and gives consumers the option of getting their coupons online for a specific ZIP code. Consumers can access from home, or office: so if you are at work looking for a restaurant, or your oil changed on your lunch hour, you just plug in your ZIP code and find a business nearby.

Once you go to our web site, you can also use the RSS feed to get our coupons delivered to your computer every day.

We’ve also partnered with several other sites, such as Google, to help get more coupons into the hands of consumers. Other sites include: MSN Live Search, Local.com, Oodle, Yellow Bot, MojoPages, RealBird, ZOI Interactive, and more.

For 40 years, consumers have saved money at both local and national businesses such as restaurants, dentists, dry cleaners, auto repair shops, hair and nail salons, car washes, maid services, and more — a total of more than 20 billion offers each year.

    Thanks!
