These are the collection of the first email, website, isp, etc on the internet!

Introduction -

Now everyone in the world is using the Internet to play, work, and communicate; to buy and sell, but having to use emails, websites and Internet service providers daily. Have we ever questioned ourselves that now they have become so a common part of our lives but which was the first of them all

The first email -

This was sent by Ray Tomlinson a computer engineer way back in 1971, the message was all capitol letters “QWERTYIOP” without the quotes, sent through electronic message program called SNDMSG. This is when @ symbol was used to determined where is the message going.

The first website –

The first website is “HTTP://nxoc01.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html” which used html. It does not exist anymore but can be found at Archive.org. It was the first to be used for non-military purpose.

The first Internet service provider -

A little known UNIX consulting company call Software Tool & Die, started in 1989 by Barry Shein which provided access to email and USENET News can boast of being the first recognized Internet service provider of the Internet.

The first On-line game -

Maze war is the world’s first Massively multiplayer online role-playing game which started the on-line role playing games. It was a simple first person shooting game with basic moments and shooting others. Developed in 1970 by Plato systems.

The first Ecommerce company -

The International Stamp Exchange is the first Ecommerce started by Armand Rousso in 1980 which provided on-line auctions something like prehistoric eBay.

Now you know these little known facts about the global phenomenon the Internet which has such humble beginnings.
