The latest in internet scams.

I am sure everyone (at the very least 90%) had received an email that has the ’Tagged’ in the subject line. I had received that email several times in the past couple of months. I must say though I never opened the email. Why should I? I don’t recognize the name. What does it mean by tag? Are we playing a game?
Now the latest news is that it is a scam. Go figure! I am sure lots of people got their little computer fingers snagged in the trapped. Now they are tagged and feeling kind of bummed. I did not have to worry about it. I never opened it. In fact, I deleted it since I did not recognized ‘Tagged’. Also, I am not familiar with any sight known as Tagged. Nor am I keen on any friends that is part of it.
Here is the question. Most people fall under scams because they did not use common sense. I know you are saying they were my friend’s name. I will tell you do you know how many friend’s name I receive that looks suspicious. I will add you can always verify the email through your friend.
Any email that wants you to view something or give something must be verified. Especially, in this day and age of viruses and hackers. This is what I was told to help avoid receiving viruses or other stuff through the email. I ounce fell in a trap. Young and foolish I was, but I had learned. I got advice. Now I am sharing it with you.
First off if you don’t recognize the person or company, do not open the email. Quickly deleted. Bottom line companies will not send you ads through your email without your permission. If they do, they are wrong. Second all kinds of people can easily gain access to your email. They will send you all kinds of stuff. Hence the birth of spam. Most are harmless. A few have a surprise for you. Simply don’t open them.
Now for emails you get from friends. So far there is one rule. If you see an email from a friend and it says something like ‘look at this video’, or ‘picture’, or something else, simply call your friend or send an email to your friend to verify they were the ones that sent it. That won’t take long. It is not hard. Trust me you would rather do this than become Conan the Virus Fighter.
Follow those simply rules and you will not feel foolish when you open up another email. Especially when the email afer you had opened it says, “Sucker!”
