Some Suggested Improvements for Triond

A selection of suggestions and possible improvements for Triond.

While Triond has always been a phenomenal platform for all of its writers and has come on in leaps and bounds in recent months, it still has a lot of possible improvements to make. Many of these are related to the way in which the writers and publishers on the site can access all the information about their content and their earnings. With that in mind, I have a few suggestions for Triond’s owners.

Listing of Content

One of my favourite features on the content page is the option to view more than 10 entries per page. This article is my 138th publication on Triond. Viewing them all, page-by-page, with only 10 listings per page, takes a long time. Being able to view all my articles and photos in pages of 50 is far, far more useful and quick. Unfortunately, I can’t set it as a default to view 50 per page. Each time I visit my content page, I have to change it to 50 entries per page manually. It would be far better if I could set it in my account section as a preference.

Content Calender Bug

From time to time, I don’t use the preset date ranges that Triond has (today, yesterday, this month and this year). To use a custom timeframe, I can use the calender feature which Triond has. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed bugs with this. If I choose 2 dates and then submit them, I get the information for all my articles and pictures during that time. If I then go to change them again, I click into the box where the date is held. When I do this though, the dates become messed up. While those boxes use the American date system (mm-dd-yyyy), the calender that pops up takes the dates to be European (dd-mm-yyyy). So, if I have a date of 5-9-2009 (9th of May 2009 under American system), it will take it as the European system once I click to change the date. This can lead to a big waste of time when changing dates.

I’ve never used either of this features, but I am all for anything that helps us access our writing. I wouldn’t mind a feature that lines our articles up based on income either so we could get an easier look at what articles do well.

I can’t say I have used any of these features, but I might give them a go now. Thanks for pointing them out.
