Like a child’s game of secret agent man…

For the 10th time today I’ve had to “sign in” to access my Triond account.  This is a total pain in the ass since I have never signed out.  What is the big secret?  Is the Talaban trying to infiltrate this site?  I only have so much time and this really cuts into it.

When I get an email I have to log in my password in order to get my letter.  When someone posts something on my wall on Facebook, I have to log in.  I have to request they send me my password because I have no clue what it is.  When someone wants me to be a “friend” on RedGage it’s the same thing.  I have too many passwords.  I’m done.  Don’t write on my wall anymore.  I don’t want anymore friends.  I checked my file.  I have 19 passwords.  I don’t even know what 14 of them are for.  I think one goes to my bank card which I never use.

This was supposed to be fun.  It started out that way.  I write something…you comment.  You write something..I comment.  Then it started to get complicated with everybody wanting to get on Hot Content and make a lot of money which isn’t possible on this site and never will be.  I get a “forbidden” for writing the word “cute” in the comment section.  The fun has escaped me.  I’m not leaving.  I’m not doing this for fun.  I’m doing it for a living.  Send food stamps.

I here ya, and I can definitely sympathize. I have, locked away in my filing cabinet, a list of all my usernames and passwords for “umpteen” hundred different sites I use – most of them rarely. I’ve gotten into the habit of using the same password for everything I join these days. According to one of my more security consious sites, this password is moderately to very secure. It has become my only refuge. :)

As for the Triond sign in, sign in and sign in again if you’ve been idle for more than about 15 minutes…. what can we do?

  2. emmahaynes Says:

    Dare I comment… :D
I’m with you on the sign in thing but…
In all honesty, I have to disagree because I feel as though part of the striving to make more money, make more of a name for yourself is what can spur you on when you most need it.

I find it like having a coach when I’m low and want to give up. Maybe that’s just me…

I’m with Ken on this one!!! Drives me nuts! Facebook is doing the same at the minute too, and like Ken, my time is limited! I comment on those people whose opinion I value and ignore the spammers etc…..

As for Hot Content…it’s a mystery I care little for these days! It’s the same people that get on it time after time any way. Don’t even go there with ‘Hot Users’ either!! Some only have a single article to their profile!!

  4. Darla Smith Says:

I’ve not had any problems with Triond yet, but Facebook has been a pain the past couple of days.

  5. Guy Hogan Says:

The only sign in problem I have with Triond is that I have to sign in to leave a comment on Picable. So I don’t click on Picable anymore. Problem solved. Triond is the only social network I use.

  6. Mystify Says:

lmao,I never sign out.Loved the ending oh so true!People have some kind of misconception that if they make hot content they make more money, which is so wrong, you make less if anything! I have had articles on hot content and some of my poems are making more then the article that was on hot content. As for commenting on this site yes it is a pain when you have to keep posting eventually having to copy and paste the comment you left numerous times. And money well that is another issue,no one can get rich or famous on this site,so you basically are doing it for your love of writing nothing more nothing less.Loved this post Ken!Good stuff my friend!

  7. Greg Wolford Says:

Alas, if the government is still administrating the food stamp program we are probably better trying to live off the 25-cents we make here! :-)

  8. PR Mace Says:

I don’t understand the forbidden for the word cute. I know this site is not going to make me a ton of money so I keep my day job. As for the Hot Content if it is to be it will be. I love you, Ken so don’t leave. How many food stamps to you need? Oh and cute, I think you are cute and maybe just a little bit forbidden.

  9. sunshine926 Says:

You’re so funny my friend. Good article. I enjoyed reading it. Here’s a trick. Whenever you get forbidden, click on the send a few times and it usually goes through. What’s wrong with Triond for declining a cute comment? lol. I do notice that triond makes me sign in a hundred times when I have been logged on. Who knows. So no money on this huh? I can see. I have been here for three months and only made $15.77.

I really like your intro: Excellent: Like a child’s game of secret agent man..

Ken, come on in and join the crowd. I hate all these pass words. Like you I often have have it mailed to bed. I do give up on some of them. What bugs me even more is to have it right and they still won’ t let me log in.

  12. Southgate Says:

Whatever trouble you experience at Triond is due to technical snags, server problems etc.A very big site operating multiple number of sites in multiple languages and having crossed more than million viewers, these things will happen and they are part of the game.I too experience frequent troubles.I report them to Triond. They immediately respond and try their best to solve it.It is just like living with a quarreling wife.

nice write. Sorry you are not adding more friends, I’d go in and try to find you.

I keep a pass word book, um at the moment not sure where it’s at since my move but so far have remembered my passwords so not too worried yet.

    later.

  16. deep blue Says:

I don’t know if it’s a problem or a trade secret. Maybe you comment too much more than you could write. Well haven’t yet experience it at Triond but I couldn’t access my account at bukisa right now for the same problem. Thanks for the sharing, Ken.

  17. Mythili Kannan Says:

Lucky, I didn’t have this issue… I just logged in some 10 days before and didn’t log off of Triond yet :)

  18. Christine Ramsay Says:

I am sorry for you, Ken. I haven’t had problems with having to sign in at Triond but I do find it frustrating when you do have to sign in on a site and you put in your password only to be told it doesn’t match theirs. I keep a password list so I know it should match. An enjoyable rant.

    Christine

  19. Elizabethabbott Says:

It is frustrating for me too Ken. Seems as if something changes every day! I am starting to become maladjusted! Please keep up the writing though!!!!

    Great article!

  21. Toni Love Says:

I haven’t had a problem with Triond yet, but face book that’s another story. Well Ken you did it again. It’s a pain signing in but what can I do….I love writing.
I love your articles, who would have though of this one…only you!
    Love
    Toni

  22. chitragopi Says:

Yes, passwords are dreadful. I can understand. Expressed your problem in a funny way.

  23. nadinesimone Says:

Well young man I sure is glad I got into your books before you shut them! I enjoy your articles, but I enjoy the chats every so often even more. You spout fact or fiction in the way that only journalists or professional writers could. Yet you never patronise the reader, instead you take them on your journies with you.

Thank you for sharing your gift.

    Nadine

  24. B Nelson Says:

dare I say, “that was cute”?
i personally dont have facebook – dial up means its too slow to load. things should be fun though, for us the biggest problem isnt the people, its the slow internet connection, although bugs like having to sign in over and over are annoying.

  25. Cashmere Lashkari Says:

Oh poor ken! I got a solution for your troubles- roboform!
Its free for upto 25 passwords. Check it out. It is easier than punching in all the digits.
Didn’t know u were on redgage…i’m stowaway there.

  26. lillyrose Says:

Go on Ken get it all out! hope it made you feel better! I had no trouble with the signing in but I do get forbidden lots, I just keep clicking submit and it goes through after a few times!

  27. Stephen J. Ardent Says:

    Been there done that too.

  28. its not forbidden -.- Says:

    cute

  29. James DeVere Says:

    Hello Ken,

I’m in computing – I can help. Download, “Roboform,” for PC. Also, think about upgrading your computer; buy a Mac.
    Reason?
The Mac has built in password and username management. Also, if no other individual accesses your machine, you may think about, “Save Password for this Site,” on Google and Live.

Hope this can work for you.

Best mate. You are a true mate,

    j

  30. Dark Antirex Says:

Hey mate! Don’t worry, i have more than 500 passwords, i listed them but I only use 30 daily. There is an option to remember your password. You can choose this by Firefox/Chrome, or at some sites there is a checkbox…

  31. Jane Jane Says:

I totally agree with you. With my case, I sign in once a day in all my accounts in different sites.

  32. Snooky Says:

I keep a password list next to my pc for my internet travels. My only problem with Triond is that word forbidden. i have had to revise a lot of punch out of some of my submissions bcause of that word. But im still most comfortable over here. Facebook is mind boggling————–

  33. PR Mace Says:

Did I say cute? I hope it’s not forbidden.
