How worthy would it be for Google to buy Twitter ? The recent talks with the social giants have been optimistic.

So I really don’t know Google can really acquire Twitter that easily, however it would be worth a try. Twitter is really a social phenomena and getting your hands on such a site can add a lot of value – The edge that Google needs to put them way way above the current competitors.

Well is this just a hype ? No! It’s possible and the micro blogging site may be another Google product. The estimated amount will surely be way above the quarter million dollar mark.

However there is a bit of a problem, why should Twitter be sold in the first place ? They are making a fortune through the site and is gaining in popularity day by day. This is where the Google brains need to think. In short just demanding the site for heck a lot of money won’t do.

Twitter turned down an offer to be bought by Facebook just a few months ago for half a billion dollars, and that ought to be a concern for Google. One turned down, then surely there’s no way back. That’s one of marketing’s cruel nature.

And now let’s turn our attention to the user’s benefits if the acquisition is successful. Maybe we’ll be able to integrate Gmail, Orkut, Gtalk and all the Google’s best products in Twitter. Wouldn’t it be wonderful ? And best of all a Google product is generally accepted blindly ;-) So maybe even more people will begin to use the website.
