It is not new, revolutionary or particularly clever yet everyone seems hell bent on getting it in one form or another. This animal instinct intended to secure the continuing evolution of life has manifested into a multi-billion pound concern for anyone wishing to involve themselves. Every second $3,075.64 is being spent on pornography.
There are several questions that need to be considered here; 1. Can it be that pornography is simply a harmless stimulant enjoyed by many alone or in company? 2. Maybe it so heavily sort due to the implied (it was after all in the bible) derogation? 3. How many people try to use this format as an educational step? 4. Is the rise in STI caused by the amount of access and implied need for sex?
The programmers at Britains Channel 4 obviously felt there was an issue with it being an educational tool and offer an alternative way to learn, the link offers a look at the website of their new show. http://sexperienceuk.channel4.com/education/about/orgasms
Bupa healthcare offer some much need answers, and not just for teenagers, it is surprising how many of our older generation having parted from a long term reltaionship and now lin later years having no fear of pregnancy fail to use contrceptives which leads them to fall into situations they never invisaged. http://hcd2.bupa.co.uk/fact_sheets/html/Sexually_transmitted_diseases.html
With annual growth of internet porn reported to be at a rate of 40% since 1997 and the status of sex being the most queried subject on search engines: –

Sex or pornography (the monetised version) is a thriving industry and one of the only truly successful e-businesses. Not surprisingly therefore some 400 million sites contain the word sex, a word entered into search engines at a vast rate of 75,000,000 times per year. But it is not just the glamorous or the young offering some sort of sex for money, but then why would it be for as with clothes and food everyone has different requirements. It is after all an income available to everyone. All you need to be a porn star these days is a camera and Internet connection. It also helps to be an exhibitionist.
Though it is not only in cyberspace that porn makes money, Premium Rate Services (PRS) are an extremely popular way of generating an income from incoming telephone calls. It is an industry worth over £2 billion a year in the UK alone, the majority of the calls being to sex chat numbers. The adult film industry produces films equating to a value in excess of $4 billion and authors/publishers producing books with a heavy underlying sex tone don’t go hungry. Many women, yes women suggest that the women who operate chat-lines are allowing themselves to be degraded by the men who call and pay to talk to them. Is it not the woman who is control – for she knows what the man wants and can a string of words paying in the region of £24 per hour really be considered degrading?
The global porn industry is worth some £30 billion, 50% of the UK population watches porn with their partner while 70% of Internet porn traffic occurs during work hours.

Maybe we are all writing in the wrong genre, but I think I will stay with what I do, and maybe just drop the odd keyword in now and then, interestingly though I was looking at a keyword checking site yesterday and basically you type in your word to find out how popular it is, and the system comes up with the figures, as I had just finished a story aout aliens I typed the word alien in and the top searh was about 1850 (this was just 1 source, but they list the top 100 search engines) and as a matter of interest I typed in sex and the result was 250k+ just from one source, these figures are calculated on a daily basis, thanks for an interesting article, hope you found this little piece interesting.

Those are some very interesting facts about the industry. Being an old horn-dog myself, I can relate. But, I also believe that the industry is actually a deterrent from life. It is not a positive element that begets more positive.

Sex and the adult industry are like anything else; it can be addictive and cause problems in various areas of your life and relationship. However, in moderation it can be a very enjoyable suppliment to both.

When I hear the four-letter word,
It makes me stand,
How you guess,
On my legs,
Or my hair,
Or down there.
Lots of guys are scared of marriage,
Those who are married,
Are scared of begetting kids.
Some wives do not play up,
That makes men play,
What of porn do you say?
Women can stay, from sex
They think its just sheer waste,
Of time, producing a kid.
Why not adopt, it’s their bid.
Some one however,
Will have to produce,
It has to be only a woman,
I wish this they too knew.
So men who need to empty,
Their lower,
More as a need,
Than sheer desire.
Those who wish to,
From prostate stay away,
Have to do it oftener,
Just any way.
So sex is a necessity for men,
I wish this could be well understood,
By our lovely beautiful women.
Porn is just an excuse,
When one has to self ejaculate,
Let him enjoy doing it,
Even if it has to be done,
With out a proper legitimate date.
