Some observations about using Stumbleupon.
After a couple of months of stumbling I finally figured out how to make a review of a web site even if I am not the first one to “discover” it. Discovering a web site on stumbleupon is when you are the first one to say that you like it. At that point stumbleupon automatically pops up the review page for you.
If you are not the first one to review or discover a web site on stumbleupon but you wish to review it, here’s how.
Look at the stumbleupon toolbar. There are sections. The first is stumble. This allows you to go to a random page which you may find interesting.
The next is I Like It with a thumbs up symbol for like and a thumbs down symbol for dislike.
The third is Send To. Right next to the words Send To, to the right of them or after them, is a symbol. If you hover the mouse pointer arrow over this symbol to get the explanation it says, “Reviews of this Page.” To review an article, click on that. You will be directed to the reviews of the web page and the box to add your own review will be automatically at the top of the list.
I am sure others may wish to know this information plus I wanted to share with people why I have not been reviewing the sites they sent me. It wasn’t because I didn’t desire to.
Let’s see. What else?
If you click on Send To you will get a list. Hover over All Friends, All Emails, or New Email Address and select a friend in the first two cases or type in a new email address in the last case which will then appear in the All Emails section hereafter. As far as I know you have to select each person one at a time and there is no feature to send a website to all of your friends at once. I could be wrong about that however.
I love you stumbleupon! What a great web site. Stumbleupon for president. Stumbleupon will get us out of Iraq and Afghanistan and stop the U.S. Military from bombing people. Okay I’m exaggerating a bit. I hope you understand my sense of humor. Irreverent.

I didn’t realize this at first either. I assumed because the little cloud was white that you couldn’t go there. I knew there had to be a way though and found I could still review. Nice for others to know too!

Actually there is a way to send to a list. If you go into your favorites and then hover the mouse over the lower right corner of the thumbnail of the web site that you want to share, a little “share” icon will appear. Click on that, and you should see your whole list of Friends and subscribers (I think that’s what the list is … ). I don’t know that this is advertised heavily, because it’s too easy to bombard people with too many sites.
Cheers and happy stumbling!
