Redgage and Writing

What is Redgage? Have you heard about this new combination social bookmarking, blogging, publishing, reviewing site?

If you’re like me you want to do a couple things.  I want to write.  I want to get better and faster at it each and every day.  I want to reach out and touch people with my words.  I want the pages my writing appears on to carry a voice and speak to people.

Who doesn’t want to be self-employed and able to work from home, or with a laptop or net-book, anywhere in the world?  Who doesn’t want to vacation on the sandy beaches, and if the thought strikes you, open your net-book and hammer out some piece of wisdom, send it off to the world outside, close your net-book, and take another sip of your Mai-Tai?  Ok how about just working from home?

Like everyone else here I am looking to learn and expand my horizons.  In doing so I stumbled across a brand new site called Redgage while looking to see just how other people do it.

Redgage is the baby of Daniel Redlich, a 20-year-old finance student at NYU.

When you arrive there Redgage looks like your typical social bookmarking site kind of like Delicious, or StumbleUpon, but it’s a whole lot more.  You can blog, share pictures and videos, including documents, and even your favorite links.

If you are looking for new ideas to spark the author within, there is a wide variety of content on Redgage with easy navigation.

Many people use Redgage to create a better web presence, while at the same time sharing your writing, your blogs, your video, your pictures, and especially your favorite links. It enables coordinating content from Facebook, WordPress, Flickr, YouTube, Twitter, and Blogger accounts with their easy setups.  You can set it up to act as an aggregator for you and the sit back and forget about it if you want to.

And they hold contests.  They hold some long term contests and some daily or hourly contests.

Even if you off duty so to speak, and just goofing off surfing the Web, you can share any gems you find with the community.  Share your favorite author with the rest of the community.  Share your favorite photographer with your friends.  Intrigued by someone else’s blogs, pictures, videos, or articles? Share their links with the Redgage community.

Best of all it is absolutely free to join.
