The Truth About Online Surveys. Finally Revealed.
So you think that the “legit” offers you’ve been googling and have most likely just begun to sign up for can make you some extra cash? Bzzzzz. Wrong. Consider the source. You’re going to these survey/forum/play to win directories. Ok. Simple enough, they are just being considerate, maybe trying to boost the economy or give to charity in a sort of way, right? Wrong again. Think to yourself, why would any site want to help you gain cash for free? The answer is simple. They wouldn’t.
The only reason these sites are giving you these sites for free, and telling you they will make you blank amount of cash, is because they are making loads of cash just to direct you to these companies sites, and that way they can recruit more users, thus creating more revenue for ads, etc. for their site. So right now you’re probably saying to yourself: OK, here’s some freelance writer just writing to have a topic and maybe make a few bucks from his article. Ok, I don’t blame you for thinking that, but before you leave, let me tell you from MY personal experience. For about 5 days straight, about 68 hours total, I researched, registered, tried, and forumed on survey sites. “Ok, so he’s done a lot of research and signed up for a few sites. Not that big of a deal. Sounds like he’s a waste of skin to me”. Hold on, let’s not jump to conclusions. A FEW survey sites? Try 60+. That’s right, I wasted approximately 68 hours of my life signing up and trying surveys.
But enough of proving myself to you, let me get to the point and tell you WHAT they do, WHO does it, and WHY they do what they do. For free by the way, I’m not those sites that you’ve seen that you need to spend $10+ on just to get information about sites, let alone no info on the actual names. Well, if you don’t want to get any information, then you’ve come to the wrong writer.
WHO DOES IT
A lot of survey companies are willing to scam from the start, while others resort to it while failing at their original goal.
WHAT THEY DO
Survey sites state that they have thousands of surveys available for you, yet I never found a survey site that gave me more than one survey opportunity and even one that actually worked. Sites such as NPD Online, NFO Research, and more, claim to give surveys based on basic information and interests, but from all that I have done, this is false. Some people might say “Ok, I’ll just enter different information and interests”. To prove to those who sign-up on this theory, I decided to give a test run myself. I tried over 6 different information options, one that included checking all options, and yet STILL did NOT receive any survey matches.
WHY THEY DO IT: Well if you haven’t figured it out yet, it should be pretty obvious. Who wouldn’t want to run a successful site with over 10k users and make tons of cash off of them? If you can name someone, then I think you should be making all that money. These sites basically get revenue from every possible resource available, and getting even more revenue from site viewing and ad clicking from people like you, only increases their cash.
I know that some of you who read this article will probably keep trying to find a legitimate survey site. And I know that some of you probably thought this article belonged in the trash after the first paragraph. But, I know that all of you, if not now, will realize that free money is realistic, despite all of the claims you’ll find on the web. I hope i broadened your insight on survey taking- and free money- for your time spent on the web.
