Decode your teens phones and computers.

Have you ever gone through your child’s phone or computer and saw a bunch of letters. You wonder what they mean but you don’t want your teen to know that you were going through their things. Below is an insight to the world of the Internet and text. Teens find that it is easier to shorten the words to text or type faster to get what they have to say out!

thats a great basic list but what parents really need is the advanced list with the stuff that could mean big trouble with kids these days and there is so much going on that parents don’t know. So if you know any more that would be a great controbution. None the less well done thanks for sharing :)

I am very lucky my son, allows me to read his texts and I know all the short cuts, I can only hope my daughter will have the same trust in me.
My son actually taught me all that txt, lol, lmao, etc.It took a bit of time, but I got it almost down pat
That thou for the info, I can now print it out, and pass it to my younger friends who are moms and are totally clueless.

As a teenager I know that text language is one of the worst ways of communication because I hardly ever use it but there are some simple but useful acronyms which I think every parent should know (WITHOUT snooping on their kids\’ texts!) Good article for those who aren\’t so text savvy!

Great index for old farts like me, who, til recently thought ‘lol’ stood for lot’s of love. That was confusing and a little disturbing on a couple of occasions.
