According to research firm comScore Inc. the largest number of Internet users are in China, which is a country with the largest population of Internet surfers. “Figure of one billion users of the Internet is a great moment in history,” said Magid Abraham, director of research companies and continued: 

“Internet has become a monument to the global community, and constantly reminds us that the world is becoming smaller.”

In addition there are a large number of users younger than 15 years, as well as those who use the Internet more often via mobile devices. The largest number of users, 41 percent of them are Asian, while 28 percent of them are from Europe, 18 percent from North America, 7 percent from Latin America and 5 percent of users are from the Middle East. According to the number of individuals in China, Internet use around 180 million people older than 15 years while the figure in the United States is about 163 million. 

Followed by Japan with 60 million users and the United Kingdom and Germany with 37 million users. Number 1 page visitor is Google, which is only in December recorded 778 million visits, followed by sites of Microsoft, Yahoo, AOL and Wikipedia. The fastest growing Internet site is Facebook, which has increased its attendance for 127 percent, and has about 150 million active users of which 70 percent of non-US origin.
