Most of Our Illegal Internet Content Comes From Russia

Did you know that most of our illegal internet content comes from countries like Russia and Ukraine. In this article I will explain why…

Pretty much all our illegal internet content comes from places like Russia and Ukraine.  This includes things like:  Private servers for games, torrents, illegal downloads, and pirated content.  A lot of us have used this sort of thing at one point in our lives, but why isn’t this all made in places like the USA?

The reason is, that if something illegal like pirated movies/songs or private game servers are being hosted in Russia and sent out to the rest of the world, its very hard for western countries like the UK and the USA to get in and stop it.  Its just the same as criminals fleeing to Mexico with their loot.

It can also be dangerous to download things like torrents.  Because it gives the people that are giving it to you access to your computer and you access to theirs.  Now, because those sort of people hack for a living, whose to say they won’t send things into your computer to find out your credit card number(s)?  It happens.  Because most torrents are 100% free the hackers don’t get any money out of them, so they use them to get important details from your computer.  Details that they could get money out of.

The lesson is that you can’t trust any computer content that comes from places like Russia.  Its usually illegal and unsafe.

I thought they could only stand a chance of getting onto your computer if you left the file open for them or people to upload from you? I don’t download from torrent sites but I know people that do! great article and interesting read.
