Throughout the course of the 20th and 21st century, the Internet has been modified, upgraded, has gone wireless. There’s over 6 billion users on the nets, all typing away in their own communication circle. Along with the exponential growth of people, there’s also an exponential growth of programs- datasharing, news, video, everything you can find elsewhere.

5) Organizer- They come in many shapes and forms, from the internet whiteboards (Gliffy, Imagination Cubed, Groupboard, and so on) that allow you to share and collaborate with buddies, to the list making tools (Ta-Da list, Voo2do, Remember the Milk, etc.) that keep you on track, the organization department of the Internet has not fallen short on popularity.

4)Graphics Humor- Everyone gets them sent to their inbox at some point (well, assuming that they have an inbox). Funny pictures, graphs, videos, all convenient and use up only minutes of your time. There’s sites like icanhasacheezburger and GraphJam that are loaded and ready to give a daily dose of chuckles.

3) Gaming- Who can resist that quick game to play in the afternoon as a relaxation routine? They’re free, they’re fun, and they’re fast to load.

2) Searches- Want to know the capital of North Dakota but don’t have a map handy? Want to find a quick recipe for dinner? We all use the almighty Google search at some point. Google, Yahoo, Dogpile, Ask… the list goes on and on.

1) Public Networking- Myspace. Facebook. Twitter. We’ve all heard of them. Most of us use them. We connect with people we care about, or people we want to stalk obsessively down to every minute of their lives. What are they doing right now? How about now? Thanks to sites like these the need for people information has been facillitated. Yay for Internet!
