Online a person can be as anonymous as they want.
At the same time, a person can be as well known as they want as well.
The internet is a great tool, a great social forum and network.
Some people however abuse the internet.

Example, a couple years ago the yahoo user rooms were shut down.
The reason yahoo closed the user rooms was because many user rooms encouraged violence and obscenity. The user rooms that encouraged this were shut down and locked. I think this was a smart course of action on yahoo’s part to protect its users that were not involved in this behavior.

For the yahoo users that were not abusing yahoo, it is an unfair loss of the user rooms since yahoo had to shut down the user rooms indiscriminately instead of just specific ones.
But sometimes, small sacrifices are necessary for the safety of the masses, for the “greater good” as they say.

My advice to users on the internet, be smart,be safe and do not abuse the internet.
It is a very valuable tool if used properly, but can be dangerous when abused.
Whether you use the internet for work or leisure, use it wisely at all times
and all will be well.
