Apple Computer has licensed the OSCAR protocol for use in iChat AV program for Mac OS X in June 2003, becoming the first foreign official client also offers audio and video conferencing, compatible with AIM for Windows from version 5.5 . Time later, AOL announced it would no longer develop a Mac OS version of AIM and will make public part of your technical documentation for Mac OS and Linux, with the launch of the Triton version for Windows.
