Sometimes when you think something is supposed to be for the good, it is the other way around.
I have been having a warm time dealing with yahoo and the new home page that they introduced. The reason for this new page, I cannot seem to see the great benefit except that it is very complicated and hard to use. I am positive 99% of the people reading this article will agree when I say, “forget the new page and in with the old”.
The purpose of the new home page was to bring in more accessibility. You can access other features like face-book and Flickr. The only problem to the users is that it is not easily accessible at all. It is crowded and it looks like cartoon said one user.

Yahoo advertises their new home page like this; “take a sneak peek at the new yahoo home page”. The only problem is, when you take that peek, if you do not know how to use a computer, you cannot get out of that peek trap.
In switching back to the elderly yahoo web page, it is not as complicated as it seems. There are more than one ways to get back to the old home page. Here are the few:
- Go to the “tools” “internet options” clear the browser cache of cookies and temp files, and it will bring you back to the original http://www.yahoo.com instead of http://m.www.yahoo.com but first you have to RESTART the computer. If you do not restart then it will not stay. After restarting use this link http://www.yahoo.com to get back to yahoo classic.
- You can also go to the bottom of the new page and under About Yahoo, click Return to the classic homepage. Very easy.
- Block the new home page. Go to >Tools>Options>Privacy>Cookies>Exceptions
Type in the link http://m.www.yahoo.comPress Block> or simply go to start>control panel> network and internet connections> internet options> privacy>sites>. Copy the website address from top of the homepage and paste it there or just write it and PRESS BLOCK and OK . - Go to the “tools” “Internet options” and check to see if your home page has change in the window then delete cookies, Delete files, and Delete history and it will bring you back to the original http://www.yahoo.com instead of http://m.www.yahoo.com
These are the few ways & I am sure there’s others but only the geniuses can tell you more. From what was mentioned, you can be sure that you are now WELCOMED BACK!

Since Nov. 11 2009 Yahoo made some adjustments to their site as they found out that we had a way to change back to the old site. They took off the option at the bottom of the page which said switch back to classic homepage. You can still use the other options.
