Arcticle for people in need of info :

Most people say : “Beware of phishing !” But what is it exactly ?

Attention, danger! The phishing is a technique used by cybercriminals organized bands to obtain your passwords of bank accounts, or your numbers of credit card. How do they make? You receive an e-mail seeming to result from a company were well established, a big bank, a site of known business … We ask you in this e-mail to click a hypertext link which leads you on a page where you can update information concerning you, this under the pretext, for example, of an update of the data. Generally, the presented documents respect scrupulously the visual environment of the banking body or the site in question.

The illusion is almost perfect. Here are some advice to protect itself from the phishing: normally the bank or a site will never ask to his customers by e-mail to connect.
You should not click an e-mail link but to use the URL in the favourites. It is important to verify the URL posted by the “bank company” who e-mailed you and to compare with the URL of your “real” bank (attention sometimes there is only a letter of difference) and indeed not to hesitate to phone at the bank or at the site to verify.

Now that you know what it is, don’t get scammed by those cybercriminals ! That’s all about phishing !
