How Do You Surf the Web?

Web Talk

Do you love going on the internet? I am sure you do. Although, there are so many web browsers to choose from. Is there one that is better than the other? Should there only be one available for people to use? I’ll get down to the bottom of this debate and let you know what I think!

I’m going to get straight to the point with this post.  First of all, we all use the internet today for a variety of reasons.  The most common uses are email, social networks, or just surfing the web.  Yes, the internet is definitely our primary means of communication today.  Although, I am always hearing people argue about what is the best browser to surf the web with?  I mean, I hear this all the time!  It’s seems to be one of the most desired questions that want an answer.  Now for all those reading…the anticipation is over!  I have your answer and I hope your listening.  Come closer to your monitor…the answer is:  “Use the one you like the most!”

I really can’t make it simpler than that!  There are browsers that perform better than others, but still, there are going to be users who stick with a particular browser because they feel comfortable with it regardless of how fast it is.  For the average user, they aren’t concerned with the fact that Internet Explorer is a poor browser.  They just want something to access the internet with and check email.  Although, you will get people who care about the speed and what it can do.

That’s where the topic of “which web browser?” will play a role.  Again, a lot of these choices are based on preference.  With so many browsers out there to surf the web, how can you say one is better than another?  Well, performance wise, there are some that the overall experience is better with.  Those browsers are Firefox and Safari. Now I have my opinions on both of them, but that shouldn’t affect your decision on which one to use.

Mozilla Firefox is fantastic, in my opinion.  It’s the browser I use and the one I recommend!

Then, there’s Safari.  A very quick and efficient web browser.  However, I feel that this web browser should be used only on Macs, but it does work fine on Windows.  That’s just my own pet peeve in regards to Safari being compatible with Windows.  Between Firefox and Safari…if you want to know which one is faster at this point, the consensus seems to be Safari.  Firefox seems to be quick enough.

With Safari 4 recently being released it has generated a lot of buzz and I tried to ignore all the hype because I felt it was getting ridiculous.  Some seem to love it and others find problems.  You will always get this with technology.  In an overall outlook, the speed of the browser is all going to be determined based upon the users expectations.  A reason why I don’t choose to use Safari unless operating on a Mac is because I think its interface isn’t the greatest and I believe it should only be available to use for Macs.

There are many other browsers out there like Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Opera to name a few.  These alternative browsers aren’t ones I choose to use because of their performance, GUI (Graphical User Interface), and navigation bar.  I like originality and a powerful device since I am a power user.

As always, this is opinion based for the best way to surf the web and how you choose to do so is your preference.  So, after reading this…what do you think is the best way to surf the web?  Maybe my opinions may be the same or different from yours.  I’d like to hear it!
